A new General Hospital (GH) spoilers video shows Alexis Davis (Nancy Grahn) has taken her boozing way too far and she puts a loved one’s life at risk. Little Danny Morgan (TK Weaver) is in danger because of his grandma’s drunken negligence and Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) has had enough.
GH fans know Alexis has been hitting the bottle hard even though she struggled to stop but Sam thinks her mom is sticking to her no-alcohol pledge while she’s pregnant. On Halloween, Alexis lied about the bottle of vino that was delivered and called it cleaning supplies.
To make things worse, Valentin Cassadine (James Stuart) covered for Alexis when it was revealed it was a case of wine and said he sent it over because he didn’t know she wasn’t drinking anymore. How did Valentin know about the pledge so he could help cover for her?
Alexis has been so stressed out and Valentin coming to town after murdering Nikolas Cassadine isn’t helping matters. But this time, Alexis has gone too far with her boozing ways and puts her grandson’s life at risk. The GH promo video shows that Alexis is babysitting Danny.
Alexis and Danny decide to make cookies and turn on the oven and put in the sweet treats. But then Alexis continues her boozing and passes out on the couch while Danny is running around playing. Danny runs into the kitchen before Alexis is up and about.
The problem is, Alexis was drinking so heavily, she didn’t realize how long she left the food in the oven, didn’t realize the food was burning, and didn’t get to Danny in time when he ran into the kitchen. The house is filling with smoke and Danny is in the kitchen where there’s a fire of some sort.
It looks like Danny will survive the ordeal, but there could be a scare from smoke inhalation. The situation is so bad that Alexis can’t hide what happened and when Sam discovers her son’s life was on the line because her mom’s a lush, she snaps.
Sam asks “Were you drinking while you were watching my son?” Alexis can try to lie, which is what she has been doing, or she can tell the truth and get it over with. Sam is disgusted and ready to talk away from her mom over this terrifying incident.
Alexis will apologize and try and lie to cover just how much she has been drinking, but she’s crossed a line. Sam is furious. Is this rock bottom for Alexis? Is this the wake-up call that she needs? General Hospital spoilers tease that Valentin will step up for Alexis in her dark time.
However sinister he is, Valentin truly does feel some family affection for her, one bastard Cassadine to another. Valentin is an unwelcome person in Alexis’ life, but if everyone else turns their back on her, she may have no one else left.
