“General Hospital” (GH) spoilers reveal that two big May sweep occurrences are happening on next week’s episodes that may converge. First, Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) gets his memories back and second, Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan) is back for his first of two appearances in May.
Once Jason’s memories come flooding back as a result of a car accident, will he remember how he “died” on Pier 52? You’ll remember it looked like Duke shot him – but it was Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) in a Duke mask.
When it happened, fake Duke shot Jason in the back then kicked him into the water.
But you’ll also recall that as Jason has recovered memories, GH showrunners have re-filmed key scenes so that the memories Jason sees are from a third-person perspective like he’s looking at himself – and he’s always got Billy Miller’s face – not Steve Burton’s.
With Ian Buchanan guesting, General Hospital spoilers are wondering if Jason’s death will be re-filmed like all his other recovered memories so that Jason sees it’s Duke that shot him. In the original scene, he didn’t seem to see him, but they can restage the scene where Jason sees his face as Duke is kicking him into the water.
Or they can go the route they did when Jason recovered the memory of him and Sam dancing in the rain and he saw it from an out-of-body perspective. There’s still storyline info to be gleaned from that death scene.
Remember that a dying Bernie Abrahms (Richard Fancy) told Jason, “I need to tell you about the money” and then Cesar, looking like Duke, shot Jason in the back and then said “You shouldn’t have interfered” and kicked him into the water.
Jason also could have seen Duke’s face looking up through the water as he sank or they can play it from a different perspective. The point is, the information of how Jason “died” could prove critical if GH showrunners follow up on the Cesar storyline.
Once Jason gets back all of his memories, it seems like he should get the death memory back too and realize that he lost his friend Bernie and how he himself was “killed” on the docks. As of now, few other people know about this scenario.
Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough) knows because Cesar told her he killed Jason back when they were hiding out at Wyndemere. This is interesting because Robin is also back for May sweeps and GH spoilers tease she and Jason may have time together.
Will Robin tell him that it was Cesar and not Duke that shot him – and that the man who “killed” him is still on the loose? Will Jason go after Cesar? Also, will Jason remember Bernie’s last words and share them with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)?
We’re also hoping that Duke appears to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) in a ghostly manner to tell her to move on but fingers crossed there’s also some Jason memory drama mixed in there. Jason needs to know how he died and who is responsible.
