General Hospital (GH) spoilers know that with the Cassadine Island adventure underway mysteries and secrets relating to Helena and Lulu will be revealed. Summer sweeps are here and General Hospital is turning up the heat and delivering shocking GH storylines.
Before Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) ‘died’ by poisoning she left her favorite Port Charles residents some “gifts’ that most would call bad luck charms.
General Hospital has a huge storyline around Cassadine Island for Summer sweeps. Everybody who is anybody will be there on some mysterious adventure. Will the Island have the answers to some of Helena’s mystery gifts that Scott Baldwin ( Kin Shriner) passed out during the reading of her video will? The answer is yes.
GH spoilers unlock the answer to Lulu’s Spencer Falconari’s (Emme Rylan) gift from Wicked Witch of the West Helena. Lulu was given an empty envelope but the answer does not lie in the empty envelope alone, it lies in Helena’s words:
“Lulu has done the most for me, more than she’ll ever know – I feel that I owe you something in return – you may not appreciate this right away and I understand that you may not want to explore this – you can always ignore what this means but I believe that you would regret that because there may come a time when your life is empty and this will give you what you need.”
The empty envelope could represent that emptiness in one’s heart when one yearns for a child – a hole in her heart where a loved child should have been.
Helena says Lulu will regret it if she does not explore it…. The only thing Lulu wants in the world is another child but will Lulu still want the child if it is a Cassadine? Most mothers will love the child no matter where it comes from.
Is that what Helena is saying “you can always ignore what this means but I believe that you would regret that because there may come a time when your life is empty and this will give you what you need.”
Helena seemed delighted while speaking to Lulu through the television screen explaining that Lulu has done for her more than she ever knows. Could that mean Lulu has made the presumably deceased Helena a Great Grandmother again?
Let’s go down memory lane to when Helena stole Lulu’s egg – In 2014 Lulu is kidnapped and held captive by Stavros Cassadine (Robert Kelker Kelly) who while waving in the air Lulu’s embryo in a thermos says in front of her handcuffed husband, Dante (Dom Zamprogna), that his (Stavros) sperm and her egg will make their child. Stavros was adamant and on the verge of pure insanity as he repeated over and over that it would happen 9 months from that day.
It has been over 9 months since that incident and there is no baby – not one that we are aware of. General Hospital Spoilers tell us on Cassadine Island there is a little girl found in the castle and the viewer chatter is it could be Lulu’s child – wrong!
The timing does not fit at all – the child Athena is 5 years old but Lulu’s embryos were frozen in 2014. Still, as we all know GH does not care about timelines or what necessarily makes logical sense (recall Fluke) – besides, after all GH is a soap opera and that is where SORAS comes into play.
Lulu had two eggs – one was obviously stolen by Helena and the other one is supposedly safe at General Hospital. Yes the embryo that is Dante’s is still at GH allegedly safe – yet we all know how people can walk in and out of General Hospital’s lab with no security clearance.
Did Helena switch out the embryos – replacing the ‘good’ Dante one with the ‘bad’ one Stavros fertilised? Of course she did. Lulu is going through IVF again and will be successfully implanted soon, if she isn’t already, and chances are high it will be with Stavros’ embryo.
Viewers will have at least 9 months to finally discover the answer to which embryo was implanted – remember how long it took for us to learn the true identity of Rocco (Twins Liam and Oliver Friedy) – it was well over a year. This could easily be drawn out that long or even longer!
Let’s weigh out the GH drama factor if the embryo turns out to be Dante’s: Lante lives happily ever after and we know what happens to couples who are happy, they become boring. If the embryo is Stavros’ Lante will have to fight the evil Cassadine forces everyday for the rest of their soap couple’s life providing extra adventures and obstacles to overcome.
This Stavros baby outcome will liken them to the fan favorite super couple of the 80’s – Lulu’s parents Luke (Anthony Geary) and Laura (Genie Francis) Spencer.
