New General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) plans to take advantage of her dad’s presence in Port Charles to get Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) out of her mom’s life once and for all.
Josslyn has been very vocal about her disapproval of Sonny since the death of Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) and told her mom Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) that she blames him for her brother’s death and doesn’t want him around.
At one point, Josslyn had a more positive perspective on “Uncle Sonny” as she calls him, but once the mob activity reared its ugly head starting back with the gun running debacle on the docks, she has taken a dimmer view of her stepdad.
Now Josslyn has decided he’s just plain dangerous. She wants her mom Carly back with her biological dad Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademahcer) and schemes to reunite them. Josslyn has picked a perfect time to try this Parent Trap style stunt.
Carly is vulnerable because of Morgan’s death and can’t stand the sight of Sonny. Plus, when Jax showed up, Carly ran into his arms and has been allowing him to comfort her constantly. Even Sonny doesn’t seem to mind a reunion.
Sonny told Jax to watch out for Carly when they spoke at the funeral. Sonny thinks he’ll be dead after the funeral since he plans a bloody awful suicide at the memorial. He’s clearly off his rocker. If Sonny goes through with the shooting, there will be no obstacle between Carly and Jax.
But we all know he won’t shoot himself. Instead, Sonny will be arrested after he makes a tormented confession taking blame for Morgan’s death. With Sonny in jail at the PCPD, he can’t be dropping by Carly’s house and Josslyn is free to scheme.
Josslyn will take every opportunity she can to push Carly and Jax together and make sure no one else is around to interfere with them bonding. Carly and Jax do have a rich history together. In addition to the child they share, there is love and chemistry between them.
It also helps that Jax is feeling very protective of Carly right now for two reasons. First is that her son is dead and she’s grieving. Second is that Nelle Hayes (Chloe Lanier) has insinuated herself into Carly’s life and Jax suspects she’s up to no good.
While Josslyn plots to get her parents back together, her primary obstacle could be Jason Morgan (Billy Miller). Jason wants Carly to be with Sonny and will push for that. When his investigation shows Sonny is innocent, Jason will go back to Carly and tell her to get back with Sonny.
New General Hospital spoilers show that once Sonny breaks down at the church, the family that turned their backs on him will begin to soften up but Carly won’t be able to let go of her anger. Carly and Jax will continue to get closer but will they get as close as Josslyn wants?
