New General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Kimberly McCullough is back at GH and will have a short arc that will keep Robin Scorpio in Port Charles for a week or so – it’s all about the funeral of Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig). Robin is back on Thursday, October 27 as Fall sweeps heat up.
This is a sad time to bring Robin back to town but also great in many ways. Robin and Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) can do some more bonding now that his memories are mostly intact. Plus, Jason has happy baby news to share with Robin about Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) and his recent engagement.
One thing that GH fans might be waiting on, though, is for Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) to spend time bonding with Robin, her actual daughter, and Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen), her pseudo-son. We’ve seen that Griffin and Emma Drake (Brooklyn Silzer) have a good bond, so this is good stuff.
There’s no word yet on whether Emma will be at her mom’s side when Robin ducks into Port Charles for the sad memorial of Morgan’s too-soon death. Given Robin’s close ties to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) this is also a perfect opportunity for Robin to offer him some encouragement.
Robin isn’t likely to pile blame onto Sonny’s pain and with Michael Quartermaine (Chad Duell) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) turning their backs on Sonny, he needs all the emotional allies he can get. Look for Robin to be a particular source of comfort for Sonny at the funeral of his youngest son.
But the big question GH fans want to know is whether Robin will share information about Lulu Spencer’s (Emma Rylan) missing embryo. Will some insight from Robin be what prompts Lulu to push Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) to return to Cassadine Island to look for answers?
Remember just before Crichton-Clark blew up, Robin saw Helena with the embryo thermos holding onto it for dear life and smooching it creepily. Robin is the only living person that knows for sure that Helena walked out of the clinic with the frozen Stavros embryo, but will she tell?
It’s been frustrating in the past when Robin blows into town and doesn’t share critical information that could change (or even save) people’s lives. Will GH writers recall the Crichton-Clark plot point and have Robin offer up timely and helpful information for a change?
We know that November sweeps will involve a return to Cassadine Island and it would be great if Robin played tour guide, but there’s little hope of that. However, Robin does have valuable insights to share with Lulu and possibly also knows something about Jason’s time on the island.
A lingering question is whether Robin encountered Jake Webber (Hudson West) while both were held by the Cassadines. It seems unlikely that Robin will traipse around town telling everyone what they need to know that she already knows, but GH fans can hope.
