New General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Valentin Cassadine (James Stuart) wasn’t being ironic when he told Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) that they are family. Could the connection between Valentin and Laura be more than GH fans thought? It’s all about Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez).
When Kevin Collins (Jon Lindström) showed up, he was surprised to learn that Valentin had invited Laura to stay on at Wyndemere after he took control. But why would Valentin do that? The Greek told Kevin that “she and I will always be connected through our family.”

It’s the phrase “our family” that is important. With Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher) presumed dead for now, there should not be anyone that Valentin and Laura have in common – there should be no “our” and yet Valentin said it. Here is why.
Remember Charlotte’s birth certificate? She was born in 1992 according to the document. Laura was missing from Port Charles for about a decade and the year 1992 falls into that gap. Wherever there’s a time lapse, there is an opportunity to create history after the fact.
Based on the birth certificate, Charlotte is far older than she appears to be. It seems likely that GH writers are reviving the long-running and occasionally used plot of the Cassadines freezing and unfreezing people.
They have frozen Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) in the past, Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers), Stavros Cassadine (Robert Kelker-Kelly) and others. There has even been some General Hospital spoilers that tease Valentin might be Stavros in disguise.
Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) mentioned that Valentin’s name only surfaced five years ago yet he’s clearly in his 40s. Where has he been? Perhaps Helena had him frozen. But given Valentin’s recent interest in Laura, many GH fans are wondering if Valentin is Stavros in disguise.
There has also been talk that Charlotte is the daughter of Lulu and Stavros from the embryo. But GH is not going this route with the reveal of the 1992 birth certificate. Also, new General Hospital spoilers hint that Lulu and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will get life-changing news soon.
Lulu and Dante will find out Daphne lied about the embryo not being viable and their child has been carried and is alive out in the world somewhere – and is not little Charlotte. But Charlotte, strangely enough, might be Lulu’s big sister since Charlotte was born in 1992 and Lulu in 1994.
Laura can’t wait to get far away from Valentin but once the truth comes out about who his baby mama is, since it’s clearly not Claudette Bolland (Bree Williamson), Laura may have no choice but to come around. Claudette is too young to be Charlotte’s mom. That’s a fact given the ’92 date of birth.
But Laura also might not have given birth to Charlotte. Like Helena had a surrogate carry the Stavros-Lulu embryo, Charlotte might have been an embryo from eggs taken from Laura and carried by surrogate so that Laura never knew she had another daughter.
GH spoilers tease that the baby stories of Lulu, Charlotte, Claudette and Nina Clay (Michelle Stafford) would all weave together. This is happening now. Nina will soon be called on by Valentin to help raise his daughter because he plans to keep the secret of who is Charlotte’s mother hidden for now.
