New General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Franco (Roger Howarth) won’t let anyone harm Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and that means taking care of Tom Baker, the man that raped Liz as a teen and who was recently released after long years imprisoned at Pentonville.
Franco is already on edge because Liz told him that Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) was the one that made her feel safe. Franco whined to Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) about it and she told him to talk to Liz about it because keeping things bottled up will drive him off the rails.
Off the rails is where Franco will be soon. Now that Franco knows that rapist Tom Baker is out of jail, he is determined to prove himself to Liz. He wants to be her knight in shining armor but this is all so complicated since Franco was long thought to be a rapist by Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco).
Sam will get pulled into this rape storyline too. General Hospital spoilers reveal that Franco will try to make amends with Sam for what he put her through and it might be time for them to bury the hatchet. Sam might change her opinion of Franco when she sees him defending Liz from her attacker.
If Tom Baker wants to drop by and say he’s sorry and is rehabilitated, that’s still uncomfortable but Liz might be able to deal with it. But if you remember Tom Baker from back in the day, the guy was diabolical. He tormented both Liz and Emily Quartermaine (then-Amber Tamblyn).
Tom was sadistic and enjoyed scaring the two teenage girls. He’s a bad dude to the core and doesn’t have a brain tumor to excuse any of his bad actions. With Tom out of prison and Liz terrified, Franco is ready to man up and deal with the guy violently, if necessary.
Despite the brain tumor being gone, if Franco thought Tom was going to hurt Liz, he could take him out. Franco will consider homicide in coming days because he can’t stand to see Liz terrified and will defend her at all costs.
Liz will find out that Franco has made plans to “take care of” Tom and wants him to stop what he has planned. As badly as Liz wants Tom out of her life forever, she doesn’t want to lose Franco and he might be jailed for attacking Tom.
The last time Liz and Franco were ready to get intimate, a phone call about Tom interrupted them. Next week, Liz and Franco will make plans for a romantic evening together and it looks like Tom might be the “nasty surprise” that GH spoilers indicate is in store for Liz.
Franco steps up and defies Liz’s request that he not get violent with Tom Baker. He wants to protect her but Liz wants to address her fears and face down Tom herself. When Liz confronted Tom back in the day after his arrest, he was creepily obsessed with her and might still be.
Can Liz and Franco get past this horrible obstacle from her past? Will Liz’s coming confrontation with Tom Baker be the catalyst that sets her free so she can move on with Franco? Will Tom come out of his encounter with Franco alive?
