General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Tom Baker (Don Harvey) will have a bad week when Franco (Roger Howarth) and Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) set a trap for the rapist. He winds up begging for his life, but will Franco show mercy?
Tom tried the same approach with Kiki that he did back in the day with Emily Quartermaine (then-Amber Tamblyn) when he lured her to take modeling photos then photoshopped her head onto naked pics and blackmailed her.
For those who didn’t watch back then, Tom did this after he raped teenage Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst). It was his blackmail of Emily Q that sent him to jail, not the rape and when Liz confronted him at the jail, he creeped her out again.
Tom back in Port Charles is a living nightmare for Liz but she also doesn’t want to lose Franco over Tom. Franco doesn’t want to lose Liz by going to jail, so he’s holding back on killing the guy even though he really wants to give into his darkness.
When Franco saw Tom talking to Kiki, it was too much. He has to stop the guy and scare him into going away, but will Franco go too far? Kiki agrees to help Franco shut down the pervert, who is clearly not rehabilitated based on what he tried with Kiki.
With Kiki as bait, they trap Tom and by the middle of next week, Tom is in a cage and at Franco’s mercy. It’s not a big cage either – more like a small animal cage which is fitting since Tom is no better than a rabid rutting dog.
Franco torments Tom who is terrified and begs for his life and for mercy from Franco. Alexis Davis (Nancy Grahn) told Tom that Franco is reformed and harmless so Tom felt comfortable restarting his shady activities.
Franco has to convince Tom that the darkness hasn’t left and he’s capable of ripping him apart slowly inch by inch while he begs him to kill him. That’s what Franco would like to do, but he settles for tormenting him.
Not only does Franco have Tom caged like an animal but he’s got a shock collar on him and the control in his hands and is jolting Tom while he says scary things. In the end, Franco won’t kill Tom because he knows that would ruin his chances with Liz.
He will let Tom go, but then things turn darker. Tom goes missing after this encounter and Seth Baker comes to confront Franco and ask what he did to his brother. Franco tries to explain to Liz what he did but she’s turned off by his actions.
Just before Christmas, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) makes an announcement about Tom and says the rapist is dead. Since Franco kidnapped and tortured him, he’s the obvious suspect, but it’s more likely Franco was set up.
Some GH spoilers tease that Heather Webber (Robin Mattson) broke out of Miscavige to kill Tom to punish Franco for turning her in for the attacks on Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) and the rarely seen Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes).
