“General Hospital” (GH) spoilers reveal that in coming weeks’ new episodes, an enemy of Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) will emerge in Port Charles, there for revenge. Although Jason is determined to put his violent past behind him, will he have to turn Stone Cold to protect his loved ones?
There’s no word yet on who the enemy is – but we do know that one new guy in town is supposedly there “hell bent on revenge” and that’s Dr Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton). Did they bring in Finn to be a nemesis for Jason that will challenge his new lease on life?
We’ve wondered since the announcement of Michael Easton’s character who he wants revenge against and then when this Jason spoiler was leaked, it seemed to tie together. Finn has been presented as a mellow sort of guy – with a service lizard for gosh sakes!
A service animal makes you think he’s got some sort of nervous condition. It makes him look strange, admittedly, but also weak in a way – and that may be exactly what Finn wants. If he appears innocuous, he can embark on a revenge plan with no one the wiser.
General Hospital spoilers ask but who might Finn be – assuming he is the enemy of Stone Cold? Really, the list is endless. Jason has whacked too many people in his decades as a mob enforcer, but it’s got to be someone who survived – and that narrows the list considerably.
Jason and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) cleaned house when it came to many of their enemies. The Roscos we know about are all dead. The Scullys are all dead. There’s one Ruiz kicking around. The Smiths are all gone. There’s one Zacchara left…
Of course, showrunners could create a new enemy and a backstory – that’s entirely workable. But it would also be nice if there was a throwback to an enemy from the known history of Port Charles and Jason.
John McBain was tied into the Scully mob mess – and Finn is a McBain doppelganger, so that’s a possibility. He could also be tied to The Balkan because there’s plenty of room to add to that canon. But what would be great is if Finn is somehow tied to the Alcazars.
That was a handsome group of bad boy mobsters and Finn could certainly be written into the family retroactively. No matter if Jason’s enemy is tied to a known family or someone we’ve never heard of, this is an exciting plot twist.
In coming weeks, GH spoilers tell us that we’ll see Jason recommit himself to becoming a Quartermaine and joining in the Q fight against Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher) over ELQ, but Jason may be wrested from his bright new future despite his best intentions.
They say you can never quit the mob – unless you go to jail or exit in a body bag. And it looks like Jason’s past will catch up to him. We know he still has skills, even though he hates to use them. But if Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) and Danny are at risk – or Jason’s other kid – there’s no telling what he’ll do.
If it’s a choice between going Stone Cold or seeing his loved ones harmed, no doubt Jason will put back on his killer persona and take care of business. But once Jason goes back to that life, will he be able to extricate himself once he’s done with the problem at hand?
