Despite General Hospital (GH) spoilers saying for weeks that Nelle Hayes (Chloe Lanier) would seduce Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), GH fans shouted in protest that it would not happen and that he would never betray Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). But a new video promo shows it happened.
All it took to get Nelle into Sonny’s bed was a lot of Scotch and Nelle telling Sonny that Carly had cheated with Jasper Jax (Ingo Rademacher). Sonny has been boozing heavily since he got out of jail on bail and when Nelle dropped by, he was primed to be taken advantage of by the little schemer.
Nelle will tell Sonny that Carly and Jax kissed, which is the truth, and she’ll let him think the worst about what happened from there. This is a big mess and Sonny is stunned when he wakes up in bed next to his wife’s assistant and then she looks at him over her naked shoulder and says “good morning.”
It’s bad enough that Sonny apparently slept with her, but what comes later will be worse. Sonny is an incredibly fertile man. He has impregnated every one night stand he’s been with. Consider this. One time with Ava Jerome (Maura West) in the crypt and they made baby Avery.
One time with Alexis Davis (Nancy Grahn) and there’s Kristina Corinthos (Lexi Ainsworth). It would be more surprising if Nelle is not pregnant than if she is. GH fans can see that this plot is a total replay of Carly’s revenge scheme against Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) way back when.
If you were watching then, you’ll know that Carly tried to pass off Michael Quartermaine (Chad Duell) as Tony’s baby when she found out she was pregnant. Knowing Sonny’s fertility and Nelle’s carbon-copy revenge scheme, it seems very likely that Nelle will turn up pregnant.
Sonny will ask Nelle not to tell Carly they slept together and she’ll agree to keep secret for now. Nelle has leverage over Sonny and count on her to also have proof. Nelle may have snapped some pictures in bed with Sonny while he slept. She’ll want evidence to use against him later.
General Hospital spoilers say that Sonny and Carly reunite in coming days to fight Ava who will launch a new custody battle for Avery. CarSon back together will mess with Nelle’s agenda but she won’t give up on her scheme and an “unplanned” pregnancy might be part of her plan.
Nelle is also working on Michael and should bed him as well. If so, GH is copying not only the Carly-Bobbie revenge plot but also the plot of Sonny and Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) baby daddy debate. If Nelle sleeps with both and turns up pregnant, it could be just as bad.
Even though these plots are recycled, GH fans still seem interested and increasingly outraged by Nelle’s plotting and playing with the lives of the Corinthos clan. But how far will she go?
