It looks as though Gwen Stefani has edged out Miley Cyrus from her red swivel chair for season 12 of ‘The Voice.’ Reports indicate that the ‘Hollaback Girl’ singer will be replacing Miley on the show, as she is set to return alongside Alicia Keys, Adam Levine and her boyfriend, Blake Shelton.
Yet, even though producers hint that Miley is coming back on the show for season 13, will Gwen try to keep her out altogether? Will she demand to stay on for another season while trying to keep Miley at bay? That’s what fans can’t help but wonder as reports have been swirling that Gwen can’t hide her obvious jealousy for the much younger and popular Miley Cyrus. Sure, Blake Shelton called his girlfriend Gwen Stefani the ‘Queen of Ska,’ but everyone knows that it’s Miley who loves to steal the show.
Of course, this shouldn’t be surprising as Gwen Stefani simply doesn’t want to share the spotlight with any other blonde female on stage. That’s why she booted out Christina Aguilera and now she’s doing the same to Miley. In fact, it’s without a doubt that she prefers to be the only female coach on ‘The Voice,’ that way she wouldn’t feel the need to compete with another female coach for attention. Sure, Alicia Keys will be there this season too, but the singer doesn’t have the same diva attitude that Gwen, Christina, and Miley all have in common. That’s why Gwen knows that all eyes will be on her.
Plus, if any of the other coaches, and especially her boyfriend Blake Shelton, even dared to flirt on camera with Miley, all hell would break loose. Gwen Stefani has a long history of jealousy issues and insecurity, so it’s no wonder that she shut Miley out from the show altogether. As far as Gwen is concerned, there’s only room for one diva on ‘The Voice,’ and that would be her.
