Wes eventually showed up for his interview with NYPD and he had even explained his sudden absence. He had said that he had lost his phone in the library and didn’t know that the police had been trying to contact him. But when they had asked about his girlfriend and whether or not she told him that they were looking for him, Wes had said that he had broken with Meggy and that they were no longer speaking to each other. So Wes had an answer for everything and he had also done a favor for the New York police. He had told them that he had seen Charles Mahoney on the night in question.

Wes had claimed that Charles had been standing across the street and that he was originally going to ask him for directions, but he had seen how upset Charles was and had crossed the street to ask someone else. So Wes had placed his half-brother at the crime scene and like Annalise he was simply waiting to see if Frank would show his face. Frank after all must have planted Charles’s fingerprints on the murder weapon and so Bonnie thought Frank was trying to come home. However, neither Annalise nor Wes really wanted him back. They thought that Frank was trouble and so they were hoping that Frank would stay away.

Though Frank of course didn’t stay away. He later showed up at Laurel’s apartment yet he hadn’t what to be seen because Laurel had been with Wes at the time. Laurel and Wes were now together and last week hadn’t been an one night stand for them. So Frank’s homecoming wasn’t what he expected. He had thought that Laurel would want to see him and that he would have more than just Bonnie in his corner when that’s not the case. Annalise still wished he would disappear if not kill himself and Bonnie kept trying to change Annalise’s mind, but all that did was make her want a drink.

Annalise has been clean since the night that Wes had found her falling over and she’s been trying to stay clean. Yet, her AA meetings weren’t the best help. Annalise usually ran into Hargrove at those meetings and the women still get into a fight with one another whenever Annalise tries to play the blame game. So those meetings were stressful on two fronts for Annalise and the only thing that she had to help keep her focus was her clinic. Annalise’s law clinic was representing three siblings that were being accused of trying to kill their mother by their own mother. And so the siblings were fighting an uphill battle while they tried to prove that they were innocent.

Edith Duvall was truly a horrible person and even worse mother. She apparently went out of her way to humiliate her children and ruin whatever love life they tried to establish for themselves. So her children had every reason in the world to want her dead and the police had managed to find times in which they repeatedly joked about all the ways they could kill her. But they all denied trying to kill her and so Annalise’s people had a hard time proving there wasn’t a conspiracy. The conspiracy charge meant that if one of them was guilty then all of them was guilty and so Karen Duvall had created problems for everyone.

Duvall had created problems for everyone.Karen had

Karen had secret boyfriend and the secret boyfriend was Edith’s produce guy. Yet, it gets worse from there because Karen had joked with her mother’s produce guy about using anti-freeze on her mother. So Karen had made herself, her brothers, and her boyfriend all look bad however Karen had said that she hadn’t meant anything by that joke and so Annalise had to find a way to bury that new information. She told the siblings that they needed to go to court as a united front and say that they had no reason to want their mother dead. And so all they had to do was stick to the script that Annalise had prepared for them.

Only one brother went rogue. Jared hadn’t meant to lose his temper in the hearing yet his mother had provoked him and had reminded him that she told everyone at his office that embarrassing story that caused his girlfriend to dump him. So Jared had snapped. He had shouted at his mother that he couldn’t wait until she died because then he would finally be free. However, there was no way to spin that. He had admitted in a recorded hearing that he would like his mother dead and so that had made him look guilty. Just like what Wes had said had made him look guilty because his brother was later proven to have an alibi for Wallace’s death.

So the Keating Five were once again scared because they thought they would all get arrested though this time Annalise didn’t have an answer for them. The kids as she likes to call them had asked her what to do and she had said that she didn’t know. But they had gotten angry at her for not knowing what to do and so she had told them that they could have at her. Annalise had given them each the opportunity to say whatever they needed to get off their chest and most of them had torn into her. They had said she was manipulative, she had destroyed their lives, and that she was a bullying puppeteer. And so Wes was the only one that didn’t have anything to say.

Wes had told Annalise that she already knew how he felt about her and so that had been that. Though once they all had their turns at Annalise, Annalise had told them to go to bed because they still needed to come with a defense for their clients. So they all had their assignments, but surprisingly it had been Annalise that had come up with the best defense on her own. Annalise ended up believing that none of the kids poisoned Edith because she had poisoned herself. Annalise had later explained that there were mothers out there that were tired of being used by their children and so she had used her own experience with her own kids to find a good defense.

The defense though worked because Edith had been willing to talk. Edith had wanted to admit that she poisoned herself and she had done so after she saw Karen’s phone. Karen had still left her text messages from her brother on that phone and that phone had also been linked to her email account in which she messaged her boyfriend. So Edith had wanted to punish her “ungrateful” children for joking about her death. But by admitting to that out loud, she had gotten her children off on the charges and Annalise’s clinic had experienced another win. And afterward, Annalise had been in such a good mood that she had given Hargrove a lawyer’s phone number to help the other woman fight for custody.

But Frank had tried to speak to Bonnie and she had rebuffed him. So he had eventually shown himself to Laurel and he had hoped that she wouldn’t turn him away as well. Frank technically didn’t have anyone anymore and so he was desperate, but was he desperate enough to burn down Annalise’s house if he didn’t get his way? Someone had burnt it down in the flash-forward and the police believe it was Annalise because Wes was willing to testify that it was her.

THE END!
