Ian Somerhalder is ready to have a baby, but unfortunately, his wife Nikki Reed might not be on board with his family plans just yet. ‘The Vampire Diaries’ actor recently admitted that he would love to start a family with his wife Nikki but that their demanding work schedules are getting in the way.
Ian told E! News, “Absolutely! I can’t wait,” however there is something that’s making it a little hard for the pair to think about parenthood right now. But with this schedule, living on a television show, it’s a bit difficult.”
And while Ian has babies on the brain, Nikki so far hasn’t said anything about a future pregnancy. With a possible ‘Twilight’ movie in the works, there’s a good chance that Nikki doesn’t want to jeopardize her career opportunities by putting everything on hold for a baby. Could that be the reason why she and Ian haven’t started a family yet? Is she prioritizing her Hollywood career over her family plans? Knowing just how much Ian wants to start a family, is Nikki causing issues in their marriage?
It’s without a doubt that Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed’s fans would love to see the couple start a family together. In fact, many fans are surprised that it hasn’t even happened yet. Sure, Nikki might be holding off for bigger and better things in Hollywood, but if it hasn’t happened yet, then there’s a good chance it won’t happen at all considering just how cutthroat the entertainment business is.
With ‘The Vampire Diaries’ ending its run after this season, Ian won’t have much going on as far as his career is concerned, too. A possible Nikki Reed pregnancy will help generate media interest and keep their names in the headlines which will hopefully benefit them in the long run. Ian might want the public to think they are very busy with their schedules but, in reality, they won’t be for very long.
