Jamie Dornan and Amelia Warner’s marriage is facing quite the challenge as the Fifty Shades of Grey actor is apparently putting his career plans over his family. There’s new speculation that the couple might be at odds over Jamie’s decision to uproot his wife and two young children from England to Hollywood.
The ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ star reportedly bought a new $2.8 million dollar home in the heart of the Hollywood Hills. Jamie and Amelia have always enjoyed living in the English countryside in The Cotswold outside of London, but the actor is well aware that he needs to be closer to Los Angeles if he expects to continue working in the cut-throat business that is the movie industry.
And that’s why he and his singer-songwriter wife have no choice but to leave their quintessentially English lifestyle – along with their anonymity – for Hollywood.
Surely, Amelia Warner isn’t pleased knowing that she’ll no longer be able to take evening walks with her kids or pop into a grocery story without being recognized. After all, she is the wife of one of the biggest Hollywood stars making headlines right now.
Thanks to his role as Christian Grey in ‘Fifty Shades of Grey,’ Jamie Dornan is now a household name with millions of fans watching and looking forward to his every move. Unfortunately, now that Jamie and Amelia are going to be Hollywood Hills residents, they won’t be able to raise their family without the constant glare of the paparazzi flashlights.
There’s no doubt that Jamie knows this, but his drive and hunger for fame and A-list movie status is apparently more important to him than his family’s privacy or safety for that matter, too.
Considering how obsessive Amelia was at following Jamie everywhere while he was filming his back-to-back ‘Fifty Shades’ installments in both Vancouver and the South of France, there’s a good chance that she’ll be even more worried about him and their marriage while in Hollywood.
With two small children to look after, Amelia won’t be able to keep up with Jamie and all of his movie premieres and promotional obligations. Plus, Los Angeles is a far cry from what they are used to back home in the English countryside.
