Is Jennifer Lawrence dating a director in a bid to win movie roles? That’s what both fans and critics alike can’t help but wonder, as there’s a new report that says the movie industry’s supposed sweetheart is dating a man much older than she is.
In fact, according to OK! Magazine, the 26-year-old star is allegedly dating director Darren Aronofsky, who just happens to be twenty years her senior. Even though they haven’t been spotted by the paparazzi together just yet, multiple sources say they’ve enjoyed plenty of lunch dates under the radar recently.
One insider even dished to The Sun, “Jennifer and Darren have tried to keep things low-key and under wraps but they are really into each other.”
Sure, Jennifer Lawrence loves to play coy when it comes to her love life, but the truth is she loves dating men with connections. She’s been linked to plenty of older men in the past, including her co-star Bradley Cooper and Gwyneth Paltrow’s ex Chris Martin, even though she insists that she prefers to be single and on her own. Cleary, age doesn’t mean anything to her.
Of course, Jennifer herself hasn’t made any comments about the relationship buzz just yet, but if she and Darren are dating, it wouldn’t surprise her critics. It’s been long talked about that Jennifer loves to associate herself with people who can help make her career what it is today – with multiple Oscar nominations under her belt and plenty of A-list recognition.
Jennifer Lawrence wants to continue to climb her way to the top of the industry, even if that means she has to date a well-known director to get her better roles. The only thing that would be shocking if she did indeed step out with Darren on the red carpet during this upcoming awards season. It would further prove that she’s so hungry for success that she doesn’t care what people are saying about how her love life might ultimately be helping her career.
