Justin Bieber’s love life has surely seen it’s fare share of ups and downs, but one thing has remained the same throughout the years: the chart topper has never been more in love with a girlfriend than he was with Selena Gomez. That’s why there’s new speculation that Justin Bieber’s mother might be pressuring him to get back with Selena Gomez.
Even though Justin Bieber’s relationship with his mother Pattie Mallette has seen better days, she is apparently still on good terms with Selena Gomez. After all, the ‘Love Yourself’ singer and Pattie Mallette were still close during the height of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez’s career. And that’s why Pattie is still reaching out to her son’s ex-girlfriend, even though she rarely even communicates with him anymore.
Pattie Mallette sent Selena Gomez a special message on her birthday last month by writing, “A birdie told me it was your birthday @selenagomez. Many tweets from the bird or may have been several birds maybe? #HappyBirthdaySelena.”
If that weren’t enough, Pattie also wrote, “I am blessed to know you @selenagomez & celebrate this precious day you were born! Don’t let them get to you. Keep UR peace & joy #LoveWins.”
Clearly, no celebrity posts anything on social media without wanting to get a little attention for it. Pattie Mallette could have easily sent Selena Gomez a private text message on her birthday, but instead wanted to show the world that she and the ‘Kill ‘Em With Kindness’ hit maker are still tight, with or without Justin Bieber’s approval.
Plus, what son would like to see his mother publicly tweeting or acknowledging an ex-girlfriend, especially if they are no longer on good terms? The birthday tweet has without a doubt made things even more awkward between Justin Bieber and Pattie Mallette, as she’s apparently trying to meddle in his personal affairs. Yet, there’s no denying that she might be onto something here, as the last time Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez looked happy and content in public was while they were still dating each other.
While a ‘Jelena’ resurrection might not happen anytime soon, this sure gives a whole new meaning to Justin Bieber’s lyric, “My mama don’t like you and she likes everyone.” So far, though, Justin Bieber has not reacted to his mother’s tweets or Selena Gomez’s birthday for that matter, too.
