Kate Middleton was slighted when Prince Philip chose to attend the America’s Cup World Series on July 22 instead of spending the day celebrating great-grandson Prince George’s 3rd birthday party. Kate Middleton must be furious with the Duke of Edinburgh for missing such an important family event, after all Prince George is the future King!
The America’s Cup World Series is a very important event and with Olympian Ben Ainslie at the helm it’s very likely Britain will bring home the cup for the first time in 165 years. And don’t forget, Prince Philip is the Admiral of the Royal Yacht Squadron and that makes his attendance a top priority, don’t you think?
Prince George probably didn’t even notice Philip wasn’t around for the birthday party. Certainly grandma Carole Middleton and the entire Middleton family spoiled the little boy. With tons of gifts and a doting grandmother hovering around would you miss some old guy who forgot your birthday?

The whole world celebrated Prince George’s 3rd birthday as if it were an official holiday. The Abbey Bells rang at Westminster Abbey. Kate Middleton and Prince William released a brand new set of photos of the cheeky little blond prince. Is Prince Philip’s memory shot? Does Philip even remember Prince George is his great-grandson? Maybe Philip doesn’t even remember who Prince William and Kate Middleton are either. There’s definitely one thing Prince Philip would be happy he missed if Philp could remember. That’s the controversy over an adorable photograph of Prince George offering the Cambridge’s black cocker spaniel Lupo some ice cream. A few people went bonkers and called this animal abuse. Ice cream will kill dogs! Why is Prince George trying to kill that dog? How irresponsible of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to allow George to feed Lupo ice cream. Such silliness over nothing – Lupo didn’t seem to want the sweet treat anyway. Maybe Prince Philip missed the party because the Royal family overlooked the Duke of Edinburgh’s 95th birthday on June 10. What with all the celebrations commemorating Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday who remembered Prince Philip’s birthday? No one it appears. That’s no reason to skip out on Prince George’s 3rd birthday party! Come back to CDL for everything on The Royal Family!
