Kate Middleton Horrified: Halts Charles Spencer And Karen Gordon Bed And Breakfast Plans For Princess Diana Home

Apparently Kate Middleton is horrified by Charles Spencer and third wife Karen Gordon’s plan to turn Althorp Estate into and bed and breakfast. Guests would pay upwards of $40,000 a night for the privilege of sleeping in the place Princess Diana called home.

According to a GLOBE source, Kate is “the newly designated queen,” and by shutting down Charles and Karen’s plans for Althorp, Kate is protecting Diana’s legacy from greedy relatives. The Duchess of Cambridge is repulsed by the thought of the gold-digging Canadian commoner Karen Gordon getting her claws any deeper into the Spencer fortune.

Charles isn’t Karen’s first wealthy husband – that honor belongs to mega-successful Mark Gordon the mega successful Hollywood producer behind ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ ‘Ray Donovan,’ and the Oscar-winning film ‘Saving Private Ryan.’ Obviously Karen likes men with money – and Charles is worth at least $150 million.

Just as Prince William and Prince Harry had begun to rebuild the fractured relationship with Earl Spencer a new family feud has broken out over Althorp. The source divulged that Princess Diana’s sons are disgusted by Charles’ plans for the Spencer family estate.

Kate Middleton has gone so far as to order Uncle Charles to halt plans to turn Diana’s childhood home into a “cheesy tourist attraction AND put his wife on a leash,” according to this royal source. Oh, allegedly Karen delights in prancing around in figure-hugging clothing to attract William’s attention.

This isn’t the first time Charles Spencer has used Althorp Estate to pad his bank account. After Princess Diana’s death the 9th Earl Spencer opened the Spencer family estate each spring, welcoming the public in for tours, and to gawk at the Round Oval Lake where Diana was laid to rest in 1997.

Whether or not Kate Middleton and Prince William will be successful at stopping Charles Spencer and Karen Gordon’s plans for Althorp remain to be seen. The estate is part of Charles inheritance, his birthright. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have no say at all regarding what Charles does with Althorp. Come back to CDL for all your Royal news!
