Kate Middleton met President Obama and the Duchess of Cambridge grabbed the opportunity to get a photo op with Prince George. Prince George thanked First Lady Michelle Obama for a rocking horse they had given as a gift.
The Obamas sent the rocking horse to William and Kate upon Prince George’s birth in July 2013. One photo shared by Kensington Palace on Friday, April 22 shows an almost 3-year-old George shaking the president’s hand. Prince George, dressed in pajamas, bathrobe and slippers, seems a bit confused and is looking over at dad Prince William.
It wasn’t long before Kate convinced George to hop up on the rocking horse in order for President Obama and the First Lady to see how much the third-in-line to the throne enjoys the gift.
In one of the photos the president is speaking with Prince William and Michelle Obama is talking to Prince Harry as Kate Middleton knelt down to help Prince George onto the horsey.
After a bit of encouragement Prince George smiled and was happy to show the Obamas how much he enjoys the rocking horse.
Kate Middleton stood by clapping as Prince William and President Obama looked on. After showing off his rocking horse skills Prince George was probably entrusted to a nanny and hurried off to bed.
Kensington Palace shared a video of President Obama and the First Lady’s arrival on Friday, April 22, “@BarackObama and @MichelleObama arrive at Kensington Palace for dinner with The Duke, Duchess and Prince Harry.”
It was a rainy day in London when POTUS and FLOUTUS arrived to meet Kate Middleton, Prince William and Prince Harry. KP announced, “The Duke and Duchess and Prince Harry welcome @POTUS and @FLOTUS to Kensington Palace.” The Royals posed with President Obama and the First Lady before heading into Kensington Palace.
Before dinner was served William, Kate and Harry had the opportunity to sit and talk. Prince Harry appears to be engaged in conversation with Michelle while Prince Harry and President Obama discuss important matters.
The Duchess of Cambridge was photographed sitting stiffly on the sofa next to the First Lady intently listening to the conversations, once again taking her place BEHIND Prince William in an ancillary position. Come back to CDL for all your Royal news and gossip!
