Katy Perry is once again throwing shade at Taylor Swift, demanding an apology in order to agree to work together. This time around though Katy Perry is definitely kicking Taylor Swift while she’s still down as she’s apparently demanding a public apology after a fan asked the ‘Roar’ singer if the two would ever consider collaborating together in the future.
Of course, no one knows the real truth behind Katy Perry and Taylor Swift’s feud except the two women themselves. While Katy Perry has sometimes managed to stay professional about their strained relationship in the media, Taylor Swift apparently wrote about their feud in her hit song, ‘Bad Blood,’ hinting that it was Katy Perry who permanently damaged their friendship. There have been rumors that Taylor Swift was angered over Katy Perry ‘stealing’ on her back-up dancers by hiring him without her knowledge.
According to People Magazine, when asked by a fan if she would collaborate with Taylor Swift on a pop song, Katy Perry responded with, “If she says sorry, sure!” So far Taylor Swift herself has not commented on Katy Perry’s olive branch, although it’s doubtful that she would. Taylor Swift’s ‘mean girl’ mentality will never allow her to fully apologize or make amends with a friend, or any of her celebrity ‘frenemies’ for that matter.
Taylor Swift has built her entire career on slamming ex-boyfriends in the lyrics of her songs and always playing the victim card in each and every single one of her relationships. While the mystery behind Taylor Swift’s personal drama has helped her become one of the biggest pop stars in the world, her star is slowly but surely fading away as her true colors continue to be exposed.
Considering all of the bad press Taylor Swift has received in the last several months thanks to her Calvin Harris feud, her Kim Kardashian and Kanye West debacle and more recently, her Tom Hiddleston break-up, the singer could easily repair her damaged reputation by reaching out to Katy Perry.
After all, it was Katy Perry who hinted that she’s willing to make amends with her former friend if she cooperates. But then again, for Taylor Swift to make up with Katy Perry would mean that the ‘Wildest Dreams’ singer would have to take some accountability on her part, which at this point, is doubtful. In Taylor Swift’s world, she’s the victim of each and every circumstance, no matter how much of the drama she might have fueled herself.
