Love & Hip Hop’s Cardi B is getting married in a lavish prison wedding. It looks like Cardi is taking a page out of her Love & Hip Hop New York co-stars’ Remy Ma and Papoose’s playbook – and she is marrying her incarcerated boyfriend, Tommy. Cardi and Tommy’s relationship was a hot topic during the latest season of Love & Hip Hop – and the reality TV star announced on Twitter that she is marrying Tommy, who is currently in prison for weapon charges.
Cardi B took to Twitter and shared this message with her followers over the weekend, “I got my marriage papers through the mail and Tommy ask me to marry him & I said yes ..but I think he giving me my ring on Saturday.” Obviously, she received a bit of backlash from Love & Hip Hop New York fans – but the reality TV star told them to worry about their own relationships (in much less kind words).
So far, there is no concrete news yet on how long Tommy will be in prison. Call us crazy, but we have a sneaking suspicion that they are not going to survive a 6 year sentence like Papoose and Remy Ma. However, if they do, then hopefully we will get to see them married in an actual ceremony like Remy and Pap’s in the Love & Hip Hop New York finale.
Cardi B. has been on a bit of a girl power kick since she debuted on Love & Hip Hop New York, and is constantly lecturing her co-stars on not putting up with the men in their lives’ BS. So, the fact that she is getting married to a man in prison is leaving a pretty bad taste in fans’ mouths.
