Love & Hip Hop Recap 2/29/16: Season 6 Episode 11 “The Wait Is Over”

Tonight on VH1 their series Love & Hip Hop continues with an all new Monday February 29, season 6 episode 11 “The Wait Is Over” and we have your weekly recap below. On tonight’s episode, Remy Ma needs to make peace between Yandy Smith and Rah Ali for her wedding; Tara Wallace makes a decision about her future with Peter Gunz.

Love & Hip Hop is an American reality television series on VH1. The series debuted on March 14, 2011, and chronicles the lives of several women in New York who are involved with hip hop music. The show has produced six successful spin-offs called Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, Chrissy & Mr. Jones, The Gossip Game, This Is Hot 97, Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, and K. Michelle: My Life. VH1 has renewed the show for a 6th season.

On the last episode, Female MCs battle for the top spot at Gwinin Fest XL; and MariahLynn exposed Moe’s dark past. Later, the drama between Rah Ali and Yandy escalated to another level. Did you watch the last episode? If you missed it, we have a full and detailed recap right here for you.

On tonight’s episode as per the VH1 synopsis, “Remy Ma needs to make peace between Yandy and Rah Ali for her wedding; Tara makes a decision about her future with Peter; Mendeecees tries to gets his family on the same page.”

It sounds like the 6th season premiere of Love & Hip Hop will be packed full of can’t miss drama that you won’t want miss and neither do I. This week on Love and Hip Hop the winner of Gwinnin Festt is announced and it’s Bianca. Mariah Lynn is happy with Bianca’s win while Moe and Lexxy are upset. Yandy is happy and excited for Bianca’s success.

Peter decides to have a vasectomy. He is at the Drs. office with Tara to find out the sex of their baby. The Dr. tells them that they are having a boy. Peter is excited. He tells Tara that he is getting a vasectomy and Tara tells him “I’ll believe it when I see it.” She then asks if he has told anyone else and he told her that she was the first one to know.

Papoose and Remy are picking out linens for their dream wedding. He asks her how the showcase went and she tells him about the bottle throwing incident between Rah and Yandy’s friend. Pap tells her that “She needs to be careful because she is on parole and all eyes are on her.” Remy wonders if Pap’s concern is more so about what he went through than being worried about her. Pap says that “Remy needs to avoid all situations that could possibly get her into trouble and I thought Rah understood that.”

Mariah and Cardi meet up and talk about Gwinnin fest and Mariah tells her about the fight between her and Moe. Cardi tells Mariah “If I was there I would have started a riot.” Cardi tells Mariah that she got the papers to make her marriage official. She says that she is not sure that she wants to marry him because he does not support her dreams. She also tells Mariah that she misses dancing. Cardi then asks Mariah about her mom and Mariah tells her that she is worried that she will have to put her dreams on hold to raise her new brother or sister as a single parent. Cardi tells her “No matter what someone will always be trying to stop their dreams.”

Rah and Remy meet up and talk about the incident at Gwinnin Fest. Remy tells her that Papoose heard about everything and was angry and upset. also tells Rasheeda that she spoke to Yandy and she had no idea that Rah and the girl had issues. Rah says “That’s a lie.” She also tells Remy that she needs to watch her back around Yandy because she is fake.

Yandy and Mendecees finally get closure on his case. He is sentenced to eight years in prison. Yandy is glad that the unknown is over, but now she is worried that she will be able to see him once a week. Mendecees tells her that the money is straight, but he has planned a dinner to get all of his children’s mothers together. Yandy says that she is on board with getting everyone together, but that it is hard to get everyone together in one place. Mendecees says that “If everyone respects me they will do this.”

Moe and Lexxy are working on their new video. They talk about BBOD and Moe tells her that Rah and Yandy can’t work together. She also reminds Lexxy about Rah’s actions at the festival. She also tells Lexxy that they need to have a manager who knows how to be professional.

Yandy and Remy meet up to pick flowers for the wedding. Yandy tells Remy that Mendecees has been taking the sentencing really well. Yandy tells her that they are going to plan a bachelorette party where Remy will make a video to give to Pap when she walks down the aisle. Remy tells Yandy that Rah “feels like Yandy brought the issue to the event.” Yandy tells her that she “would never bring personal issues to a work event.” Remy lets Yandy know that she doesn’t want any drama at her bachelorette party and Yandy tells her that” hopefully she and Rah can find some sit down time before the event to hash it out.”

Tara meets up with Yandy and Yandy is shocked to see Tara is pregnant. Yandy feels shocked and upset that Tara kept the pregnancy from her. She is even more shocked to hear that Peter is the father. Yandy asks Tara if they are together and Tara tells her no. Yandy is confused by the whole situation, but Tara tells her that she is ok with nor being with Peter and Yandy tells her ok. Yandy tells Tara that ” I feel you think Peter is your happily ever after and that was stolen from her.” She also tells her “I wish you could see Peter for who he really is.”

Cardi and Self meet up and Cardi is angry that Self doesn’t take her seriously as an artist. Self says that “until Cardi comes correct as an artist he will continue to ignore her music.” She accuses him of supporting other artists who can’t do anything for him instead of her. She tells him “When I ride with someone I ride with them hard and I expect the same from them.” She then tells Self she is done dealing with him and that she doesn’t need anyone to help her get to the top. Yandy is preparing for Remy’s bachelor party. Rasheeda arrives and Yandy asks her to step outside to talk.

Yandy tells her that she had no idea that Rah and Ebony had an issue. Rah tells her that she knew about it. She also tells Yandy that she doesn’t believe that Yandy’s intentions are as pure as she portrays them to be. The two of them argue, and Rah tells Yandy that “The only reason that she and Remy are friends is because Rah and Remy had a fight.” Yandy tells Rah that she had no idea that the two friends had a fight.” She also tells Rah that the friendship between her and Remy was not something she sought out.” The two agree to disagree and have a good time for Remy’s sake.

Mendecees dinner to help bring his children’s mothers together starts out with him telling them that he wants to stay in his kid’s life. Samantha asks if “that is the best idea for the kids, and the dinner quickly disintegrates. Mendecees says that they “need to be able to work this out for the kids.” The mothers calm down and they talk about how to keep Mendecees in their children’s lives. Yandy points out that the mothers can’t teach the boys what it means to be black men in America. The other women agree and they say that they will work together to make sure that the children don’t forget their father.
