Tonight on ABC the glitz and the glamour returns to the ballroom as Dancing With The Stars returns for a 22nd season. Actress and television personality Marla Maples & her professional dancer Tony Dovolani took the stage tonight and danced a Quickstep to “Sparkling Diamonds” from “Moulin Rouge” soundtrack. The premiere episode kicked off with an exciting and dynamic opening number, featuring all of the celebrities and dancers, along with returning head judge Len Goodman. The night continues with each couple dancing a cha cha, fox trot, jive, tango or quickstep, vying for America’s vote for the first time. There will be no eliminations this week, all couples will move on to week 2.
Judges comments on Marla’s DWTS Premiere Quickstep: Carrie Ann: “That was fun, you suited the role perfectly. You messed up a few times, but to start off like that – I can’t wait to see what you bring next week.” Len: “It was full of vim, vigor and vitality. There was no messing, straight into the routine. I thought that was terrific, you did good.” Bruno: “I’m loving the uptown bombshell, I think you found your calling. Forget “The Donald” you found your calling.”
