On tonight’s Married To Medicine episode per the Bravo synopsis “The Atlanta ladies are back! Quad has a new baby in her house, and Lisa Nicole’s got a baby on her brain. Dr. Jackie is moving on up while Dr. Simone and Cecil are adjusting to life apart. Toya is in big trouble with the IRS while Heavenly just stirs it up. Lisa Nicole throws a bash to bring the group together, but are the ladies ready to move past it all and have a new beginning?.”

There are a few things that are different this season with Married to Medicine however Quad prolonging having a family was not one of them. Quad still believes she’s not ready to have a child because she wants a few more years with her figure the way it is and so she tells her husband that they’ll eventually get started. But having her family and especially her cute nephew nearby is just not enough for her husband Greg. Greg wants a child of his own and he’s practically been begging his wife since the first season. So that begs the questions when will Quad be ready?
Quad doesn’t have to have a child if she doesn’t want to, but all the same she should at least tell her husband that kids are off the table if they’re truly off the table. Yet, saying “eventually” gives Greg the wrong idea. He thinks he’s merely waiting for the near future and it’s only lately that his patience has started to wear a little thin. So Greg has been asking his wife about a baby a lot more frequently and there’s a chance that he might confront his wife later if something doesn’t happen first.
Yet, while Quad refuses to change, others were kind of left without a choice. Toya and Eugene were apparently having money troubles and they owe the IRS a good 170,000. So a few things have to change at the house. Toya for instance, is going to have to cut back on some of her more exorbitant spending and both she and Eugene have to discuss financial decisions. Eugene as it turns out had signed over power of attorney to their accountant and that same accountant managed to miss thousands of dollars that were supposed to go to the IRS. And so that was also a problem.
Eugene hadn’t told his wife that he signed over power of attorney and neither he nor Toya had thoroughly checked out the accountant before they hired him. So the whole thing was a mess. The guy had been someone that their friends knew so they thought he was trustworthy yet he could have been anyone. Inept, Con-Artist, or possibly someone that stole from the couple because they had been too easy to dupe. Though now that they are both aware of what’s going on, they know they have to fix the problem before it gets any worse.
Lisa Nicole on the other didn’t care about what happened on last season of the show when she said that there wasn’t a marriage if there wasn’t trust because she still wants to have a baby with Darren. But the problem with that (despite the blaring obvious ones) was that she hasn’t been able to get pregnant on her own. Lisa Nicole and Darren have been trying and nothing has been working. So she ended up going to see Jackie at her office to find out what she can do and all Jackie had to say were dire warnings.
Jackie like Heavenly thought Lisa Nicole shouldn’t have a baby. They both thought she was too old for that and later science backed them up. Lisa Nicole had a complicated pregnancy with her last child because she had developed a blood clot and so Jackie had to be bluntly honest with her friend if not her patient. Jackie told her friend that she could die if she got pregnant again and she would leave the two children she has now motherless. However, Lisa Nicole didn’t care. She wanted a baby and she was prepared to take whatever risks came with that.
Only neither Jackie nor Heavenly felt that she should have one at this point in her life though of course Heavenly was naturally blunter. Heavenly later got the ball running at Lisa Nicole’s party for the Celebration of Life which was really a party about getting pregnant. She had asked Jackie and Simone as they are the specialist about complications when an older woman got pregnant in front of everyone and Jackie backed her up by listing all the things that could go wrong. Like the risk to the mother and the baby possibly having deformities, and then Eugene chimed in.
Eugene had said that he sees women in their sixties with young children all the time and that they look like the child’s grandmother rather than their mothers. So Lisa Nicole got offended. She said her husband was also a doctor and that Darren didn’t have a problem with having a new baby. Which was true. Darren had explained that they didn’t have any health issues and that they were in prime physique so he felt that they wouldn’t be run down as the parents that Eugene talked about. And, well, Toya came to her husband’s defense.
Toya pointed out that it was easy for them to say they wouldn’t be worn down because they had a nanny that basically raise their kids already. So Lisa Nicole and Toya got into an argument about whether Lisa truly does raise her children and then out of nowhere Simone snaps. Simons had apparently seen Quad laughing about Lisa Nicole having another baby and so she started yelling that Quad needed to have a baby as well. Simone had shouted that Greg deserved a baby and she had also gone to say other incoherent thins that sounded like she was repeating that sentiment.
But it was pretty hard to fight with someone that’s just shouting and so Quad eventually left the party with her husband because she felt like Simone crossed a line.
