On tonight’s Married To Medicine episode per the Bravo synopsis “Everyone processes the aftermath from Lisa Nicole’s party. Dr. Simone reaches out to Quad to make sure she understands why she came down on her so hard about having a baby. Genise reveals to Toya that she doesn’t find Heavenly so heavenly.”

Toya had put Lisa Nicole on the defensive recently. She accused the other woman who she claimed to be her friend of not being a good mother because she has a nanny and so Lisa did take that as an insult. There really wasn’t any other way she could have taken it. But Toya had been around so many women like Simone and Quad who could practically forgive each other anything that Toya didn’t know what she did was wrong. She just thought that they had gotten into an argument and she was ready to move on like nothing ever happened. So Toya called her very good friend Genise over to her house and they were already on new gossip before they could talk about Lisa.
Though Lisa wasn’t moving on and she chose to see the one person that she knew would side with her over Toya. She went to see Mariah. Mariah is back on the show this year and she feels ready to reenter the picture however Mariah still felt a certain way about Toya. Toya and Mariah had once gotten into a fight because again Toya had crossed a line and so Mariah has never forgotten that. She still hates that Toya was out there spreading her business and she quickly sided with Lisa Nicole when she heard what Toya had said. So the two both felt that Toya had been tacking to say such things at a classy party and Mariah decided to get the women together to clear the air.
Mariah had invited the women in their group to her house and not that surprisingly Lisa had been one of the first to say “yes”. However, Toya hadn’t been sure how to respond. Toya and Mariah usually get into a fight whenever they’re at the same venue and so Toya thought it was best to call Heavenly. Heavenly had also gotten her invite and Toya wanted to know if Heavenly was going to Mariah’s house. So Heavenly kind of wavered back and forth and she didn’t have an answer until Toya told her that they didn’t have to get into another argument with Mariah. Toya said that they would just leave if something happens and turn it up in the driveway.
So there wasn’t a lot of expectations on Mariah’s party. They have all been to one of them and not a single person could say they felt comfortable about going to another. Simone for instance, was hesitating about going and it’s not like she can go because she was on-call that night. But Quad’s response to Mariah’s invite was a little different. Quad had said that she could move on and that if Mariah was ready to do so was all the better. Quad and Mariah used to be closer than friends after all. In fact, they had once called each other sisters and had done everything together. And so Mariah’s forgive and forget party was one they were all hoping would work out.
The only problem with that, though, was that it was Mariah’s party. Everyone knew that there was going to be drama and Toya made sure that there would be drama by making sure that her friend Genise got an invite. Toya had spoken to Genise not that long ago and Genise had admitted that she had a problem with Heavenly. She said that Heavenly had been rude to her when she just assumed that Genise worked for her husband and not with her husband. So that had bothered her and so did the time when Heavenly had asked Genise’s husband if he had full custody the four children he had with his first time.
Heavenly hadn’t known that the poor man’s wife had died and she had quickly apologized at the time for his loss as well as her assumption. Yet, Genise had stored that informed away and had said everything to Toya. So Toya had said that she wanted to help. Toya also believed that Heavenly could be a little too blunt at times and she said that wanted to get the two women together before Heavenly turned into a mean girl. Only Toya then turned around and told Heavenly what Genise had said and so the two were ready to fight the second they both came to the party. And it was only Mariah that surprised everyone by not bringing up drama.
Mariah had started the evening by thanking everyone for coming and that she hoped to move pass a lot of their old arguments. So everyone had been fine until Toya who aimed her weapons welled had fired them. She asked Genise that she had something to say while they were at the dinner table and Genise went all in. Genise took issue with Heavenly for what she said about her work and then she clearly claimed that Heavenly had said something entirely different about her husband’s ex-wife. However, Heavenly wasn’t allowed to interrupt Genise and so they almost got into a physical fight. And it was things were calming down that Quad decided to speak up.
Quad had turned to Heavenly and she had told her that she could be abrasive and insulting when she first meets people however, she said that Heavenly was a good person underneath and that it takes people a while to see that. But Heavenly secretly had a chuckle about that because she knew that the same could be said about Quad. So Heavenly threw a back-sided compliment of her own and apologized to Genise even if she may or may not have felt apologetic. And with that finished, Mariah tried to get everyone focused on dinner again – only Toya asked if anyone else had something they wanted to bring up and Lisa saw her opportunity.
