The judges came up with an especially grueling task on tonight’s episode of “MasterChef Junior”. See, they told the kids about a lunch that Chef Ramsay was throwing where he had invited twenty members of family and friends to his house. And then they hit the kids with the news that they’ll be catering for the event.

Although no one was expecting any carnival food or truck stop food like last time. No, for Ramsay’s lunch, he was expecting a three Michelin Stars Restaurant quality meal. So unfortunately the contestants had a very strict menu. They had to create thirteen portions of a Pan-Seared Snapper and a Venison Loin. And therefore the key to winning the challenge was actually going to be more about division of labor than anything else.

The remaining six junior chefs had been separated into two groups with Addison and Amaya as Team Captains. And it was up to these captains to create a flow in the kitchen. Which was a lot easier said than done.

Amaya had after all tried to divide stations amongst herself, Zac, and Avery. Though that resulted in their station moving far too slow for Ramsay’s liking. Thus he had to have a talk with them about picking up their pace.

Which they did to amazing results. However, the Blue Team fell apart under Addison’s direction. She had tried to divide all the portions up so that they were all cooking at the same time but sadly that resulted in both Kya and JJ looking to her to fix everything they had done wrong. And she just couldn’t keep up.

So when the appetizers went out, the Red Team had all their ducks in a row and the Blue Team had run out of scallops as well as fish. And that hurt the Blue Team more than anything else because the dishes that were lacking had to be served to Ramsay himself. Seeing as he was the host and the event was at his house.

And after they were done with appetizers, the teams then had to move on to their main dishes but Ramsay chose to talk with Addison first. He told her that he noticed the low morale on her team and he said that as their captain she has to be there for them in order to help and/or motivate them if they needed it. So that’s what she did.

She basically lit a fire under her team and told them to get it together. And for a while, it was great. They were keeping up with their meats and the only problem they had was that they had no organization afterwards.

And that led to an accident in the kitchen. Ramsay had gotten two pieces of venison dropped on his foot and he to hop around later because he had gotten seriously hurt. Yet before he left them, Ramsay told them to cook up two more pieces of venison to replace the ones that dropped and JJ had just ignored him.

He had been given order but he had cooked the meat until Addison came up short while they were plating their dishes. Therefore, the there was no strong comeback for the Blue Team. JJ had gone off into his own world and his captain hadn’t been there to reign him back in.

Though over on the Red Team. Amaya began to fall apart so the judges had to tell Zac to step up and sort of takeover. And he did so with amazing results.

So even before the judges announced a winner, the audience already knew who had won the challenge. The Red Team had been in the lead all along and they were the clear winner. But two kids had to go home on tonight’s episode of MasterChef Junior and the judges picked JJ and Kya.

JJ and Kya were eliminated tonight. And that happened because throughout the challenge it was them holding Addison back. Instead of working with their captain.

THE END!
