Prince William, Kate Middleton Refuse To Send Prince George, Princess Charlotte To Boarding School: Queen Elizabeth Defied?

Prince William and Kate Middleton are once again defying Queen Elizabeth and her rules. Reports indicate that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge want to give their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte ‘normal’ lives. That’s why they don’t want to send them off to a traditional boarding school. Instead, Kate wants to keep them close to home for as long as she possibly can.

Insiders say that Kate always insists on putting her two children and their needs first. And that’s why they want to follow Zara Philip’s lead. Zara and her husband, Mike Tindall, made it clear that they don’t want to send away their daughter to boarding school. Similarly, William and Kate don’t want to do the same with their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte, too.

Yet it doesn’t look like Queen Elizabeth is going to be happy with Kate Middleton’s education plans for her children. One source close to the royal family even told Woman’s Day Magazine, “The royals have traditionally made very standoffish parents. In the case of George and Charlotte, however, they always come first. As far as Wills and Kate are concerned, there are no exceptions to the rule.”

Of course, critics aren’t surprised that Prince William and Kate Middleton are willing to break royal tradition. Kate has made it clear that she wants to be a hands-on parent with Prince George and Princess Charlotte. That’s why she would rather spend time at home with her children then attend royal engagements and charity events. It’s also why she insists that her children travel with her on overseas trips to places like Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. Kate wants Prince George and Princess Charlotte to be by her side, regardless of where she is or what she is doing.

What’s more, sources say that William doesn’t want Prince George and Princess Charlotte to have the same life he had. Despite their royal status, he wants them to have ordinary, ‘normal’ lives.

Are you surprised that Prince William and Kate Middleton are once again breaking royal protocol? Do you think Queen Elizabeth will have something to say about this? After all, she’s never been a fan of Kate’s hands-on parenting technique. Let us know your thoughts in our comments section below.
