Tonight on ABC their hit drama Quantico airs with an all-new Sunday, October 16, 2016, season 2 episode 3 and we have your Quantico recap below. On tonight’s Quantico, Season 2 episode 3 Alex (Priyanka Chopra) goes undercover in an attempt to infiltrate the terrorist group and is shocked to discover that not everyone is a stranger.

On tonight’s episode as per the ABC synopsis, “The new CIA recruits continue training at The Farm focusing on assessment, while in the future, Alex goes undercover to infiltrate the terrorist group holding everyone hostage where she is shocked to discover not everyone is a stranger.”

Tonight’s episode of Quantico kicks off with a flashback to Alex and Ryan meeting with their handlers Rayna and Shelby. They fill their handlers in on their CIA classmates and who they think might be recruited by the Anarchists. So far, Alex and Ryan have nothing. Alex and Ryan get a bug to wear and share at the CIA training camp. But, they have to careful, because the CIA is constantly scanning the camp for spies.
Present Time – Miranda and Shelby are still camped outside of the terrorist attack. They are convinced that it was the anarchist group that was working through the CIA that is responsible. Shelby confesses that she still has an in-depth analysis of all of the trainees that were at the camp on her personal computer. Miranda tells Shelby to bring her the file ASAP.
Meanwhile, inside the building that the terrorists have taken over, Alex is still running around rogue. She takes down one of the terrorists and strips them – then puts on the outfit, and goes under cover dressed as one of the terrorists. With the helmet on, they might not suspect Alex. If they do figure her out though – they will most likely kill her. She strolls through the building in the terrorist gear and starts tallying up how many attackers there are and how many weapons they have.
Flashback – Miranda meets up with Rayna and Shelby at a diner in the middle of nowhere. Miranda isn’t happy with their reports so far. She tells Rayna and Shelby that a good handler gets inside their spies heads and makes it personal so that Alex and Ryan will get the info that they need.
Meanwhile, Alex and Ryan are on to their next training session. Owen takes the students to a crowded bar and teaches the how to go inside and assess all of the exits and entrances, how many people are in the bar. Next, they throw them in a closet, and they have to estimate how many minutes and seconds they were in there. Now, it’s time for them to put what they learned to the test. Owen and Lydia send them on a test mission.
Present Time – Shelby returns to the office with a flash drive. When Miranda plugs it in to her computer, the machine shuts down, and an officer rushes in to Miranda’s office and tells her to step away from the computer immediately. Apparently, there is a virus on the flash drive, they confiscate the flash drive and the computers. Miranda whispers to Shelby to go home and get her personal computer.
Flashback – the CIA agents are blindfolded and dropped in the woods in the middle of nowhere with a partner, they have to find their own ways back. Alex is dropped off with Leon, and Ryan is paired up with Doyle. Ryan and Doyle wind up in an argument over Alex and split up, Ryan finds Dayana wandering through the woods by herself. She tells Ryan that she doesn’t want his help, she wants to get out on her own and prove that she can do it. Alex and Ryan use the opportunity to try and get some intel on their fellow students.
Present Time – Alex is still stalking around the building and spying on the terrorists. Inside, Ryan is being held in a room with some of the other victims. He corners Doyle who is also being held hostage, he stages a fight with Doyle. Alex gets dragged in to the scuffle and Ryan realizes that she is still in the building and dressed as one of the terrorists.
Flashback – Lydia is upset because the Cia has her stuck at the training camp and she wants to get back in the field. She rants to her dad Owen that she doesn’t understand why they won’t let her get back in the action. He advises her to take charge of the situation and find out what is going on. Lydia makes some phone calls and learns that it is her own father’s fault that she is stuck at the training camp because he wanted to spend time with her. She confronts him and is furious, she says some hurtful things about her father’s past and why he is benched now. Lydia storms outside and makes a phone call, she tells someone on the other end that she “is in,” and asks what she should do next.
Meanwhile, the trainees are all still wandering around the woods. Doyle finds Leigh in the woods – they decide to partner up. Meanwhile, Alex and Leon aren’t on the best of terms. He’s tired of her prying to his past and asking him so many questions. He finally admits that he got himself arrested on purpose in Mexico because he was a journalist and he wanted to show people what the inside of Mexican prisons were like.
Because of Ryan and Doyle’s fight – the terrorists discovered that Alex had infiltrated them. One of them takes Alex downstairs by gunpoint and prepares to kill her. Alex attacks the terrorist and rips off her helmet…it’s Leigh.
Flashback – the trainees finally make it back to the training camp, and Owen and Lydia are not impressed with how long it took them to get back. They had cameras in the trees watching the trainees, and it was clear that they weren’t using anything that they had learned.
Alex and Ryan meet up in secret that night. They are arguing over who they should put the bug on. They decide that they should put the bug on Harry. Shelby and Rayna arrive, they split Alex and Ryan up and follow Miranda’s orders and try to get inside their heads. They manage to cause a rift between Ryan and Alex.
Present Time – Alex tries to get answers from Leigh, but she is not talking and set on killing Alex. Alex has no choice but to kill Leigh to save herself.
Tonight’s episode ends with Leigh’s body falling through the glass roof of the library, Alex pinned a message to her body for the terrorists, it reads “2 Down.”
