‘Quantico’ spoilers for Season 1 Finale Episode 22 ‘Yes’ on Sunday, May 15 reveal that it’s graduation day and the new agents in training (NATs) are going to get their stripes as full-fledged FBI agents. There’s also a leap into the future to see what Alex is up to.
Here’s a peek at the action coming on the finale of Season 1 of the ABC crime drama. Alex shows up to the FBI and Caleb Haas (Graham Rodgers) and Shelby Wyatt (Johanna Braddy) tell her that they think the terrorist is Miranda Shaw (Aunjanue Ellis).
The team seems as confused about the culprit as fans were – up until Liam O’Connor (Josh Hopkins) told Miranda he’s the bad guy – then shot her … Shelby tells Alex that they are digging into Miranda’s past requests for classified materials to find evidence.
Nimah Amin (Yasmine Al Massri) is there with Alex and gets the scoop from Shelby and Caleb on their Miranda suspicions. Shelby says none of their leads have panned out and it’s all down to Ryan Booth (Jack McLaughlin) and his team to locate Miranda.
Nimah doubts it’s Miranda and sees her as an unlikely suspect for their terrorist. Raina Amin (Yasmine Al Massri) and Simon Asher (Tate Ellington) come in with news. Simon says they’ve been sifting Miranda’s correspondence looking for clues.
Nimah will lash out at Simon because Grand Central relied on Simon’s plans and she says he helped build the bomb that’s now on the loose. She chews him out and Raina calls her sister down for trying to blame Simon for the impending disaster.
Raina will remind her angry sister that Simon is the only one who really understand the tech plus he knows Miranda. Nimah just wants Simon out of her sight. Simon will leave angry with Alex chasing him to try and mend fences so they can focus on the real issue.
Liam, the real terrorist, shows up to act like he’s helping the investigation. He’ll tell Alex that he jumped on a plane – instead of admitting he was out putting a bullet in Miranda. Alex is relieved her mentor is there and then the hypocrite terrorist will launch into an inspirational speech to the team.
Liam plays along, of course, with Miranda being the culprit and says they have to find and stop her so the bomb won’t detonate. Quantico showrunners promise that the first five minutes of the finale are “must see” and that although we know the who, we’ll find out the how and the why of this mystery.
Alex, Raina, and Ryan will be in the field looking for the bomb and Ryan tells them “we’re running out of time.” As they close in on Liam, he gets the drop on Ryan and holds him at gunpoint. In the finale promo, Liam tells someone, “I thought you’d enjoy watching it all burn down to the ground with me.”
Going into the finale, we don’t know for sure if Miranda died as a result of Liam’s attack but we know that one agent will make the “ultimate sacrifice.” Who will it be? Will Alex lose Ryan just as they’ve made plans for their future together?
