It looks as though Meghan Markle won’t be spending Christmas with Prince Harry. The Hollywood actress was spotted leaving London after Queen Elizabeth refused to invite her for Christmas dinner at Sandringham Estate.
Meghan was spotted leaving London for Los Angeles over the weekend. Earlier reports indicated that Meghan was going to spend the holidays in London, despite the fact that she can’t spend Christmas with Harry at Sandringham Estate. There’s no way Queen Elizabeth would bend the rules for Meghan and allow her to spend Christmas with the royals.
So did Meghan Markle and Queen Elizabeth have a showdown? Did Harry reveal his engagement plans to his grandmother? Of course, that’s what everyone wants to know. Yet, eyewitnesses say that Meghan was smiling and in a cheerful mood while she was making her way through Heathrow airport. That’s because insiders say there’s a possibility that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will celebrate New Year’s Eve together in Los Angeles.
There were also several reports indicating that Prince Harry was planning on proposing to Meghan Markle on Christmas day. But now that Meghan is flying home, that’s not going to happen. And now that Prince Harry’s plans have been derailed, some say that this might make things harder for him to see Meghan.
Simply put, Queen Elizabeth wants Prince Harry to marry someone who is going take her royal engagements and responsibilities seriously. And in order for Meghan to prove to the Queen that she’s fit enough to be a member of the British monarchy, she has to quit her Hollywood career. There’s no way she’ll be able to fly back and forth from London to Los Angeles to continue working in the entertainment industry. Before she marries Harry, Meghan will have to choose between her career and her future in the royal family.
