‘Reign’ Season 3 Episode 16 Spoilers ‘Clans’: Mary Sneaks Into Violent Scotland – Charles Schemes Against Catherine!

‘Reign’ spoilers for Season 3 Episode 16 ‘Clans’ on Monday, June 6 reveal that Mary Stuart (Adelaid Kane) finally makes it back to Scotland after a decade away from her country. John Knox has stirred up the Protestants against the Catholics and it’s worse than Mary could have imagined.

But Mary has a few things going for her. First, Bash (Torrance Coombs) is at her side ready to serve. Second, she has an army of mercenaries ready to do battle on her command. Third, although he’s a snake, Lord Narcisse (Craig Parker) may yet prove to be an asset as Mary heads into unfamiliar territory.

As Mary sees the turmoil that is broiling in her homeland, Narcisse reminds her that she is a stranger to them having been raise in France. Because of the danger and infighting of the clans, Mary chooses to hide her identity until she’s certain how to proceed.

Later, she is told that the only way to put Scotland back to rights is if a “great unifier” were to appear. The man asks her who is up to that task and Mary has no answer since she’s not certain of her own safety or fate in Scotland.

Back in France, passions are heightened between Princess Claude (Rose Williams) and Leith Bayard (Jonathan Keltz). Leith wants to be her man, but is there any chance he can raise his station in life fast enough to wed the sister of the King of France. It doesn’t look good.

King Charles (Spencer Macpherson) must deal with his mother Catherine’s (Megan Follows) treachery and abuse of his sister. He plans to oust her as regent but the Red Knights are still a problem and Bash is not there to investigate or protect. It doesn’t look good for the House of Valois.

Meanwhile, with Narcisse stuck in Scotland with Mary, Lola (Anna Popplewell) is clueless that her husband is trying to get to her. Until someone helps her get away, Lola must deal with intrigue at Queen Elizabeth’s (Rachel Skarsten) court.

When rogue Hans (Christopher Russell) catches the Queen’s eye, Lola flirts with him to keep the Queen out of trouble. But will Elizabeth recognize that Lola is watching out for her? Or will Elizabeth see Lola as a romantic rival and take action to punish her for flirting with the handsome devil?

Have Gideon Blackburn’s (Ben Geurens) rescue plans made progress to get Lola and her son John safely out of London and back to Scotland? Or is Lola feeling more at home thanks to this new romantic interest? Can Lola get away before it’s too late?

Lots happening as Reign Season 3 winds down to a dramatic conclusion. Be sure to come back to CDL for a LIVE recap of ‘Reign’ Season 3 Episode 16 ‘Clans’ on Monday, June 6 (there’s no May 30 episode because of the Memorial Day holiday) and share your comments below.
