Robert Herjavec and Kym Johnson are engaged! Did the Shark Tank star get tired of waiting for and the Dancing With the Stars beauty to pop the question? The couple met in April 2015 when they were paired up on the season 20 of Dancing With The Stars and their friends report that the pair have incredible chemistry.
Although DWTS Kym and Robert are yet to celebrate a year dating, the couple is ready to become life partners. Not even Robert’s drawn out divorce with Diane Plese is enough to dampen the couple’s spirits, as their attraction to each other was obvious from the start.
Robert Herjavec, 53 proposed on Saturday, February 27 to his DWTS girlfriend Kym Johnson, 39, with a blinding 6.5-carat diamond ring that would certainly compete with the stars for magnificence. One could hardly expect any less from Robert who is not only an author but also the founder of Herjavec Group and star of ABC’s Shark Tank.
People Magazine reports that after popping the question Robert swept Kym home to a surprise engagement party with 30 of her closest family and friends. This of course was made even more special for Kym as her new fiancé even flew her mother who lives in Australia to the engagement party.
So was Robert tired of waiting for Kym to propose? He had been known to joke at the G’Day USA Gala in January 2016 that women were the ones who should propose marriage during a leap year. However, having been married once already, Robert decided waiting was not this star’s style particularly since tying the knot with Kym was something the couple has discussed.
This is not surprising as he had been married for 24 years to Diane Plese and has admitted that marriage was never far from his mind. Diane and Robert began divorce proceedings in March 2015 after their union which produced three children came to an end.
This would be Kym Johnson’s first marriage so shortly after getting her multi-millionaire’s 6.5-carat diamond ring placed on her finger, she proudly announced, “I said yes @robertherjavec” on her Twitter page. This was quickly retweeeted by Robert. In an exclusive interview with People Robert declared: “Kym is an incredible woman and I’m just so excited for what the future brings for us”.
The year 2016 is certainly going great for Kym Johnson who recently launched 5678 Diet book and DVD 5678 Fitness. She now has a glitzy wedding to plan as her fiancé Robert Herjavec is clearly not one to wait much longer before they become husband and wife. Did anyone say Gold-Digger?
