Rosie managed to drag Villa out of the house on tonight’s episode “Rosewood”, but it seems he forgot to tell her that he was taking her to a Joo-Joo party to celebrate their nine month anniversary as partners.
Although Villa was capable of letting these small things go and did just that when she chose to stay on the party and enjoy her. Probably a little too much! Villa had been wrecked afterwards and so Rosewood had been responsible enough to see that she got home yet he ended up staying the night at her new place. Albeit on her couch because that’s where they had fallen asleep after watching TV into the late hours.
And so that’s where he later woke up when Joo-Joo called him in a panic. Apparently Joo-Joo whose real name was Julius had woken up next to a dead body and he has no idea what led to them being in the same room much less what happened at the part. So when Rosewood and Villa (the latter not having been invited) showed up, they quickly took charge and Rosewood personally checked Joo-Joo for injuries.
Only the situation didn’t look good and Joo-Joo knew that long before the detective in the room called in backup. For example, Joo-Joo had a bump on his head that could have meant someone had knocked him out which would explain why he doesn’t recall his own party or, as Villa pointed out, it could have occurred when the victim tried to defend herself. And unfortunately there was also some bruising on Joo-Joo’s hands so he could have been in a fight or again the bruises could be because of the victim.
The victim being a well-known reality star by the name of Holly Keaton. So one of the first things that Captain Hornstock and Villa asked about was how did Joo-Joo know Holly and he said she was something of a business partner. Which in this case means he hired her to come by his parties with her long line of paparazzi and she in turned drummed up publicity. And so Joo-Joo had even use that as an excuse for why he would never hurt her.
He said that he wouldn’t mess around with the cash cow!
However, that didn’t explain why they were alone in a bedroom together and Joo-Joo couldn’t speak towards his own defense because he couldn’t remember why they had been alone. So Rosewood talked Hornstock into releasing Joo-Joo into his custody. And the captain agreed to it as long as Villa was also there to supervise, but she did fall down on the job.
Though it wasn’t her fault, it was Rosewood’s. Rosewood who had also been responsible for Joo-Joo had taken the suspect back to his lab where they then ran into Holly’s fiancée. So the grieving fiancée hadn’t liked seeing that Joo-Joo was out and he had tried to attack Joo-Joo yet Joo-Joo struck first. He punched Zachary Wilford III in front of a room full of witnesses and, well, that hadn’t been Joo-Joo’s first assault.
So Joo-Joo was in fact later arrested for assault against a member of the paparazzi that he allegedly beat up on the night of the party, but he still couldn’t recall the party itself or why he would even beat up a photographer for just taking photos of Holly. Although, the testing that Rosewood had done on Joo-Joo earlier had answered a few questions. It seems Joo-Joo was suffering from brain damage that was stemming from his old career in professional football so he meant it when he said he couldn’t remember. He’s actually been experiencing memory lapses for a while.
And therefore to get to the bottom of why he had assaulted Jo Fuller, Villa and Rosewood looked through the many photos from that night. Thus they found the photos of Fuller grabbing Holly’s arm and shoving her. Then, thanks to the time stamp, they found out what happened next which was Joo-Joo punching Fuller because he had been defending Holly.
Yet, there had been a reason for Fuller’s hostility that night and Villa hadn’t been afraid to get rough with him if need be. So eventually Fuller did reveal that he had gotten into Holly’s face because he knew something about her. And may or may not have wanted to extort money out of her in exchange for keeping quiet though he did end up giving Villa what he had.
Which was a sex tape! Apparently Holly who had made her living selling a clean image of herself had also been secretly recorded by an ex-boyfriend that knew her as Hannah Lou from the trailer park. And the ex went on to sell the tape to Fuller once he realized that Holly’s fiancée wasn’t interested in what was supposedly in Holly’s past.
At least that’s how he phrased it. The text message to Zach had said to call him if he wants to know who he’s really marrying and he had thought that would be important to Zach because he came from a prominent family yet Zach never got the text. Instead, his mother did and so she thought she should protect Zach from marrying trailer trash by killing Holly and Joo-Joo being there as well was just bad timing. It looks like Joo-Joo had gone to check on Holly to see if she was ok after the altercation when Mrs. Wilford knocked him out and left him in the room knowing how it would look.
But, Rosewood and Villa caught her when they found the missing diamond from her ring in Holly’s stomach so Zach was eventually told that his mother had murdered his fiancée. And the sad part is he had known about Holly’s past from the beginning. She had told him herself and he hadn’t thought it mattered.
And a surprise guest dropped in on tonight’s episode, Tara’s mother who says she now wants to be part of Tara’s life though she still wants the ability to control everything that happens with her daughter. So the reunion hadn’t gone as planned and its good thing that Tara has the Rosewoods.
THE END!
