#TeamScorpion starts with Tim playing a video game at the garage. Toby and Sly are stunned by how well he’s doing. Sylvester calls Ralph over and Walter wants to know what the ruckus is. Tim is about to beat his high score. Walter says that’s impossible since he memorized the graphics.
Paige watches too and asks if he’s threatened. He says it’s a video game and he’s just hungry. He walks away. Happy calls to Walter so he notices Belinda. She has no bomb this time. She asks to talk to him in private so he takes her to his office. Paige looks annoyed.
Belinda says she has been thinking about him a lot. She says she didn’t give him a fair shot plus he saved her life. She says she should not have said no to a date with him and says he’s a great guy. Walter says he thought it was statistically unlikely he would see her again.
Tim beats the high score and Walter calls that another improbability. Belinda asks him to call her and he agrees. Everyone stares and Paige goes looking for a bagel annoyed. Toby asks if she came for a date and Walter says she thinks he’s dynamite. They eye roll.
Toby says this is good so he can let go of Paige. Walter says they’re friends and Toby scoffs. Sly tells Ralph he missed Walter getting asked out and Tim beating the high score. Ralph was working on a coding project that amazes them. Tim leaves for physical therapy.
Happy comes over to check out what Ralph did. Paige says he has a spelling test at regular school and Happy says it’s like using Seabiscuit for pony rides. Cabe brings in John Pandova, a Marine dedicated to find POWs and bring their remains home.
He shows them an item found in Vietnam. They think it’s from a Marine patrol lost in 1974. 10 Marines were lost. Pandova says he needs more proof to get an excavation order. They are trying to build a factory at the site and they have two days to find proof.
Pandova says the ammo belt was found last week and this is their last chance. Happy says they’re not archaeologists. He says they need to accelerate the efficacy of the equipment to make the ground scanning equipment better.
Toby calls him out on his physical tics and points to a guy in the photo and, sure enough, his dad was one that went missing. Pandova says his mom has been waiting 45 years and has six months live so he wants to give her peace of mind. Cabe takes the case.
Walter says why Cabe thinks this is a foregone conclusion. Paige says people lost family and reminds him of Megan. He says her organic material didn’t matter to him. Cabe says regular people need remains to have a sense of closure. He tells the team to get ready to go.
They take flight headed to Vietnam. On the flight they scan in dogtags, belt buckles, and other items from the era to give the equipment things to look for so they can eliminate false positives. Toby mocks Walter for losing his high score on the game.
Paige talks to Ralph on the phone and he says Sylvester is very enthusiastic. He’s wearing a GO Ralph! Shirt. Paige ends the call as they hit turbulence. They belt in and Toby says this turbulence would freak Sly out. Cabe says the roads in the jungle are even worse.
That’s where we see them next. Tim tells Walter he’s not trying to compete with him over the video game and Walter says there’s no competition. Tim seems offended. They run into a storm and then hit the construction site.
The job boss says it’s too late and Tim steps up and speaks Vietnamese. He says they have a government order and they must turn off their equipment and leave for 48 hours or he will call the authorities. The boss calls them off.
They set up in a tent as the storm kicks up into high gear. Their equipment is blowing around and a piece of it is broken Happy says it could be a key to the mission. They try to tack down the tent. Walter gets a call from Sly who warns them about the storm. He says winds of 115 mph are headed there.
They have two hours before the storm makes it impossible to work. The team is working hard and Happy spots that a chip they need is broken. Toby says they need to run back if they can’t do this work but Pandova says they need to keep going. Walter says an ultrasound machine might have a chip.
Paige takes off with Walter and Pandova. Ralph is upset that he got an F and Sly says it’s because the professor didn’t understand it. Sly gets an alert and calls the team. He says the storm is moving faster than they thought.
One of the seniors at the home looks at Pandova and says in Vietnamese “spectre.”Does he recognize Pandova? They get the chip out and the people need help. Walter says they need to go but Paige says they can’t go. Pandova says they can help.
Walter says there are no basements and it’s a flood zone. They ask about tunnels and the man asks the one guy who said spectre. He says they’re nearby and are sealed. Walter goes to get thermometers to help and says he’ll catch up.
Toby and Happy work hard and Cabe says Walter is behind schedule. The older Vietnamese man leads them to a tunnel that’s been bolted by an aluminum frame. Walter cracks the thermometers and pours the materials into a vial and then spreads it on the aluminum.
He is able it kick a hole into the door. They help the seniors down into the tunnel. The Vietnamese guy keeps talking to Pandova but Walter sys they need to go. The doctor says he saw him decades ago and Paige asks if he knew his father.
Pandova shows them the photo and he says it’s his father. The man says his father was brave and he never forgot him. He says his father died a hero’s death in the nearby valley of the white pines and says he was just a boy. Pandova says there is no forgiveness necessary.
Walter says they have to go. They take off. Walter runs up to Happy with the chip and they put it in and start scanning. Paige tells Tim she doesn’t know how Pandova is keeping it together. Tim says it’s the military training.
Pandova says stay near the white pines and Cabe says they have to call this soon but he says he can’t go now that he knows his father is here. Tim says if the guy doesn’t budge, he may die there with his dead. They get a hit and Happy moves the radar. They find shell casings, dog tags and a bayonet.
They find a dog tag with his dad’s last name on it. Sly then tells them the storm is now a super cell storm with an F4 tornado headed straight for them. Ralph says the tornado is three miles away and one mile wide. Sly says if they leave now, they may beat it.
The team packs and Pandova says he can’t go. He says it will destroy the remains and no one will get closure. Sly says they can’t make it out. He says they can’t get out of the valley. Toby freaks and Walter says they can control the weather.
Happy says he’s gone nuts. Walter says they need to cool the air and says if they cool the downdraft by 15 degrees it will downgrade it. Toby calls him god complex. The construction guys ran CO2 lines and Happy says they can convert it. Walter does some math.
Paige says what’s the answer. Walter gives it and they start working it out. Cabe asks why they don’t do this in Kansas and Walter says it will only work because they’re in a valley. Walter gives orders to the team including hacking a weather satellite and tells Ralph to use his new program.
They take over the equipment and have 11 minutes to make the ice and get it in place. The construction foreman is pleased to help since they saved his aunt at the nursing home. Paige panics when she can see the funnel coming at them.
They mix up the ice and Tim drive the truck to dump the first batch of ice. Toby helps unload a new ice load with Happy. Paige and Walter are together and he’s panicking because they’re not driving fast enough. Sly says the tornado will hit at the same moment that Paige and Walter are there.
Walter tells Paige to get out and she says she won’t let him. Walter has an idea and they do some math really fast. Sly says the tornado is slowing and says he thinks it’s still deadly until Walter gets the ice. Sly says make your move in nine seconds.
Walter tells Paige to buckle in and hang on. He flips the truck, breaks the tarp, dumps the ice and skids them back out of the way. The tornado is right behind them and then the engine on the truck dies. They grind to a stop.
Walter says the move was too much and Paige says this is bad. They get out and run and then Walter buckles his belt to the tree. It’s like from Twister. He’s hanging on to Paige and the wind lifts them both. She says she can’t hold on and Sly says it’s dropping. They need to hang on for six more seconds.
Walter says he won’t let her go. He hangs on, the wind drops, they fall. Sly and Ralph high five. Walter asks if she’s okay and she says bad hair day. The team flies home. Walter says the men are MIA no more and Pandova thanks him for their hard work.
Pandoca says he talked to all the families and they all send their thanks. Paige goes to Walter and asks if he understands about closure. He says he doesn’t why it’s important but knows that it is. Then Pandova’s mom shows up and hugs her son.
Pandova introduces them to his mom and they all come to say hi. Pandova gives his mom her husband’s dog tags. She’s moved to tears. She says she waited so long. She thanks them all. Walter seems very moved. Walter tells Paige he understands now.
Toby says he can’t imagine her keeping hope alive that long and not remarrying. Toby asks if they get married and he died, would she carry a torch or move on. Happy says she would not because she can’t find someone who annoys her as much as he does.
He says chew on the theoretical marriage thing for a while. Ralph is furious that his professor stole his software. He stole his idea. Paige says they can’t let him get away with it. Sly says this is the underdog getting picked on all over again. He wants to call in Jahelpme Morris.
Paige agrees. Tim comes to see Walter and says he’s been in the field with some brave risk takers and Walter can go toe to toe with them. Walter credits the math but Tim says he was blown away. Walter makes a bad joke and Tim smiles.
Tim invites him out to eat but Walter says he needs to call Linda. Tim says have a good time boss. Walter says I’m not your boss because you’re not on the team after he walks out. Walter gets Linda’s voice mail and leaves a totally awkward message.
Tim tells Walter he took his advice about having dinner with a kind beautiful woman so he’s going out with Paige and Ralph. Walter asks if he likes Paige and Tim says she’s intriguing. Walter tells him to have a good time.
Walter goes to look at Tim’s high score on the video game and starts playing to knock Tim off the board.
THE END!
