Steven Avery, the subject of “Making a Murderer,” claims his greedy brothers Charles Avery and Earl Avery killed Teresa Halbach. And it was all about money – Charles and Earl wanted control of the family business. Steven also believes brother-in-law Scott Tadych was in on the plot.
In new documents filed with the court Steven alleges that Charles and Earl thought they would benefit financially with Steven locked up for life. Exactly how would that happen? With middle brother Steven behind bars and no possibility of parole, Earl and Charles supposedly would each get half the Avery family junkyard business rather than a third.
The new claim goes on to state Charles might have thought he would cash in on Steven’s $36 million federal lawsuit against Manitowoc County. This lawsuit stemmed from Avery’s wrongful 1985 rape conviction and 18-year imprisonment.
It has been alleged that Charles’s trailer was in close proximity to the location where Teresa’s car was found. Purportedly someone witnessed Earl, with a gun, in the junkyard on a golf cart hunting rabbits the same day Teresa Halbach went missing. A source told GLOBE, “[Earl] hid from police when [officers] came to take a DNA sample.”
It’s not just Charles Avery and Earl Avery who might have framed Steven Avery. There’s a possibility that Steven’s brother-in-law Scott Tadych – was in on the plot to frame Steven for murder.
An insider says Scott was in the family junkyard twice on the day Teresa came to photograph a car Steven wanted to sell. A co-worker of Scott’s revealed to GLOBE Tadych wanted to buy a weapon – a .22 rifle. It is believed Teresa was shot with this type of weapon.
Has Steven Avery been framed by brothers Charles Avery and Earl Avery? Is brother-in-law Scott Tadych also part of the conspiracy? Who really killed Teresa Halbach? Will Steven get another day in court in an attempt to convince the world he did not kill the young photographer?
