#Supernatural starts on Valentine’s Day in Hudson, Ohio. A couple are getting ready for a night out. The wife adjusts his tie then the doorbell rings. She’s annoyed that the sitter rang the bell and didn’t want her to wake the baby, Teagan.
The sitter kisses the husband and says she can taste Melissa’s mom lipstick. She wants him to tell his wife about them tonight, but he says that’s heartless on Valentine’s. He says they’ve been together since they were teens. Staci says to tell her tonight or else.
Melissa comes in, and Staci compliments her then they leave. Dan glares at her as they exit and Staci is annoyed. Someone is looking in the windows of the house at Staci in the kitchen. She comes back to the TV and sits down to channel surf.
The person outside is at the window right behind her, and then we see the knob of the French door turn, and it opens. She keeps watching TV. It looks like Dan, but then the person reaches into her chest and grabs out her heart. She’s dead, and the nanny cam catches it all.
Sam reads a story online about the murder. Dean comes into the kitchen and sniffs some takeout. Sam asks if he’s got a hickey on his neck. He takes a bite then shudders and says it was Valentine’s, and he’s a hopeless romantic that helps all the single ladies.
Dean says the best thing about February 14 is you just have to be mister right now. He calls Sam judgy then asks if he crawled into his snuggy and watched 50 Shades. Sam shows him the babysitter murder story, and he says her heart was ripped out.
Dean asks if it was an ironic werewolf and Sam says go shower. Dean sniffs himself and says he’s not wrong. Later they’re in Baby headed to Ohio. The forensic cleaning service is on scene cleaning up. Dan tells them Staci came over at six and Melissa says it was awful.
Melissa says Staci was super sweet, popular and pretty. Dan says anyone who met her fell in love with her. They ask about crazy ex-boyfriends, and Melissa says she doesn’t know. They ask if anything was stolen and Melissa says the nanny cam in the living room.
Dean and Sam go outside and talk about how Dan was acting strangely. Dean says he’ll hit up Dan at the office to talk to him alone. Sam goes to the morgue. The coroner says she would assume an animal attack, but there’re no claw marks, and she’s stumped.
Sam snaps a pic of the wound. Dan is staring at Staci’s internet page. He shuts it down when Dean shows up. Dean asks him to be straight with him, and he asks what he means. Dean says he’s hiding something and didn’t want to talk about it in front of the wife.
Dean says he’s shtupping the babysitter then says he doesn’t give a rat’s ass but doesn’t want him in a federal murder investigation. When he threatens to go to Melissa, Dan comes clean. He says it’s too damn weird, and he wouldn’t believe him.
Dan shows him the teddy bear nanny cam and says he was having an affair with her and took it because she kissed him in front of it earlier. He says he was going to erase it but then shows Dean the footage. He says they found Staci’s body, so he took the camera.
He says he knows it was a dick move and says he knew the murder must be on there, so he was just going to erase the kiss. He turns the screen and plays the footage. They see the kiss then later see him there again. He takes her heart and then walks out with it.
Dan says he knows it’s me, but it’s not me. He says he would never hurt her and says he loved her and was at dinner the entire time with his wife and says 75 people know he was at the restaurant. Dean says he believes him, takes the disc and tells him not to tell anyone.
Dean comes back, and Sam says he found no werewolf clues. Dean plays the footage for him. He says Dan stole the nanny cam and Sam says shtupping the sitter and he nods. Sam watches “Dan” kill the sitter. Dean says it’s not Dan.
Sam runs it back and sees glowy silver eyes and says it’s a shapeshifter and Dean says Yahtzee. Dan’s secretary asks if he’s okay and offers to stay. He tells Gladys he’ll be okay. She leaves and gets on the elevator then a woman bumps her on the way by very rudely.
The woman then turns into Staci as she comes into Dan’s office. She says give me your heart, but he says she’s dead and freaks out. She shushes him, and he says please. She plunges her hand through his body and the cubicle he’s near and yanks out his heart. He falls dead.
Sam and Dean are on scene and talk to Gladys. She says a young girl bumped into her on the way out. They show her a pic of Staci, and she says that’s her. Dean thanks her. They decide it’s the wife. They talk to Melissa, and she asks how is this possible.
They ask about the baby, and she says she’s with her mom. Sam asks if she knew that Dan was having an affair with the sitter. Melissa sighs and says yes. She says she loved him and still does and thought it would work out.
Dean asks if she can write down a phone number they can call and hands her a card and pen. She grabs it up – Dean was testing her – the pen is silver. Sam says to call if anything strange happens and tells her where they’re staying.
Dean says she’s not the shifter, and he needs a beer and to get laid. Sam reminds him he just got laid, and Dean says that was in Kansas. Melissa runs into her room and digs into a box and pulls out some objects and feeds them down the disposal.
She makes a call from a hidden phone and says something went wrong, and Dan is dead, and the FBI is asking questions. She feeds a small skull down the sink, and it’s ground up. Later, she walks around her dark house and drinks wine.
Someone pounds on the door and she asks who’s there. The loud knocking sounds again. She looks through the peephole and sees Dan there. He says it’s me, baby, let me in and rattles the knob. She says no it’s not, and he says he loves her.
She’s freaking out. He punches a hole through the door and unlocks it. He says he won’t hurt her, he’s her husband. She throws things at him and runs out the back door. Dean comes back to the hotel room and asks Sam if he had any luck then asks what’s a dad bod.
Someone pounds on the door and Dean lets in Melissa, who slams and locks the door. She says Dan tried to kill her. She says it’s all her fault. She says she loved Dan maybe a bit too much. She says she wanted him to love her back, so she talked to her hairdresser about the affair.
She says she told her a way to get him back and says she dabbled in stuff. Sam asks what stuff and says she told her she’s a white witch. Melissa says she was desperate. Dean asks if she got her a spell and she says yes, and she had to chant it and seal it with a kiss.
She says she didn’t mean for this to happen. Sam asks for a copy of the spell. Melissa hands over a scrap of paper and Sam says it’s not a spell – it’s an Aramaic curse. He says it’s the kiss of death. Sam says there is no lore, and he thinks the white witch cooked it up herself.
They ask if she kissed Staci, but then Dean says Dan did. Dean says it’s like a magical STD. Sam says she killed no one, and this is all on the witch. Dean says why did Staci die first if she was killed second. Dean says it’s like a magical hot potato.
Sam says the curse started with her and wants to end with her. The Dan creature comes into the hotel room, and they shoot it, but it doesn’t stop. Dean grabs Melissa and kisses her to stop it, and the creature turns its focus on him.
Sam knocks it out and down and they run out and all three hop into Baby and take off. We see the shadow of the creature rising up in the backlit silhouette of the window. They pull over, and Dean says that went well.
Sam is mad he put the curse on himself and says he doesn’t have to martyr himself. Dean says he’ll be fine and says it proved their theory. He wants credit for figuring it out. They weapon up and wonder how long they have.
Melissa asks them what it was, and they tell her they thought it was a shapeshifter, but it didn’t flinch. She looks at all the weapons and asks what kind of FBI agents they are. Dean says fake ones, and they tell her they’re hunters.
They ask her about the white witch and where she lives. She says she gave her the spell in the basement of her salon. They head there. The salon is called the Art of Dyeing and Dean says she tried to warn them. They give her a knife to use if Sonya comes for her.
She says she can’t stab anyone. Dean says she’s a wicked witch who killed Staci and Dan and if she shows up, punch her, stab her or drop a house on her to stop her. They break into the salon and leave Melissa in the car.
Dean says they need a better name than witch killing bullets. They spot an Employees Only door and open it. The basement stairs are behind it, and they head down. They spot hair care supplies and a locked cabinet.
They open it and find her grimoire and spell hear. There’s a room with a table behind some plastic sheeting, and they look around. Sam finds the spell and says it’s a Qareen, a corporeal creature that’s a slave to your command.
It says the Qareen shows up as your deepest darkest desire. Dean says he’ll finally get some face time with Daisy Duke since she’s his deepest darkest desire. Sam asks Catherine Bach or Jessica Simpson, and he says either.
The photo shows a hole in its heart, and they have to find the creature’s heart. They do rock paper scissors. Sam loses and goes upstairs to search. Dean pokes around in the basement. Sam finds a locked metal box and tries to pry it open.
He found a dusty gray heart, but the witch is there and slams him into a chair with her power. Dean is still downstairs and then Amara is there with him. Amara says she feels the longing in her heart too. Dean says that’s touching and says she doesn’t have a heart and calls her Qareen.
The witch has the box and puts it back in place. She says he must not really be FBI then asks if he’s a hunter. She says someone has to punish the men and says the only thing worse than a cheating man is the one who gets away with it. He calls her a real feminist.
Amara says the question is not who she is but who he is. She says the love he feels in his heart is cloaked in shame. He takes very specific steps, and she touches her bosom and says he can’t help himself when it comes to this – why fight it, just give in.
Sam asks why she wants to hurt Melissa, and she says these women never learn. She says they all come back with the same story and different men. Sonya says it punishes the cheaters and the foolish women who want her back. She tells Sam he’s next.
Dean says the real Amara has a hold on him, but she’s a cheap imitation. She tries to get his heart, but he evades her. The witch beings to chant. Sam chokes. Melissa runs in and tells her to stop. She distracts Sonya and Sam shoots her with witch bullets.
Just as the Qareen is about to take Dean’s heart, Sam gets the heart and stabs it. She’s gone into ash and a flash of blue light. Sam calls down to him and says he got it. Dean says he’s good and walks back upstairs. Sam looks around for signs of trouble.
Sam asks Dean who was it – Bach or Simpson – and Dean says neither. He says it was Amara. Sam asks if that surprised him and Dean asks why it doesn’t surprise Sam. Dean says she can’t be his deepest dark desire. Sam says that doesn’t make him complicit, weak or evil.
Sam says she’s the sister of God and picked him, and he had no choice in it. Sam says he won’t blame or judge him. Sam says don’t beat yourself up over it and says it doesn’t help them. Sam asks how bad it is, and Dean says every bone in his body wants to send her back to the hole.
He says but when he’s near her, something happens he can’t explain. He says it’s not desire or love – he says he’s screwed. He says they need to kill the darkness, and he doesn’t think he can. Dean says he’s sorry, and Sam says he’s got it.
Dean walks away. Sam closes his eyes and then sighs. He grabs their stuff and heads out to Baby.
THE END!
