On this week’s episode of Teen Mom, the women of Teen Mom check in with Dr. Drew to talk about the events of the season. It starts out with all the mothers and families on stage. Dr. Drew asks them how they felt when the show started and Amber tells them that they thought that the show would be a one hit wonder. Maci says that Heather would be part of her life whether they were filming or not. Tyler says that “The one thing I liked is that we were part of a movement “Then they show highlights from the season.
First up to talk with Dr. Drew is Maci. Maci cried as she watched the highlights from her part of the season. Dr. Drew asks Maci what changed between her and Ryan. She tells him that they have stopped avoiding each other. Dr. Drew then asks her about Bentley’s new little sister and she tells him that Bentley loves her. Then Dr. Drew asks her about the clothing company she runs with Taylor. Maci tells him that “the clothing company is too much so Taylor may end up quitting his job to run the company full time.”
Maci also talks about her desire to marry Taylor. She says “There is no one else I would rather be with.” With that Dr. Drew brings Taylor to the stage and asks him why they have not yet gotten engaged. Taylor tells him ” She is my queen and I want the moment to be perfect.” Dr. Drew applauds him for that and asks him about Jayde and what it’s like having a newborn. Taylor says that he “commends Maci for doing it at 16 because he is 26 and can barely handle it.” Dr. Drew asks if helping with Bentley prepared him at all. Taylor says no because Bentley is older and can do things for himself.
Maci and Dr. Drew are joined on stage by Ryan who talks about the improvements in their relationship. Ryan says that he is more involved with Maci and what’s going on with Bentley. Maci says that “They were scared to be around each other because they were scared of arguing and eventually they had to get past it.” Dr. Drew mentions that Ryan has a new girlfriend and he asks if they can meet her. Ryan says no. Maci says that the new girl is really cool.
Maci and Ryan are joined on stage by Ryan’s parents. Maci commends them and says that “Without them things would have been more difficult without them.” Dr. Drew asks if Ryan would move out with his girlfriend. Dr. Drew asked how they would handle it if Ryan moved in with her since she doesn’t live close by. Maci says that “As long as she takes care of Bentley the way a mother would then she wouldn’t have a problem with Bentley staying at her house.”
Up next is Farrah. Dr. Drew asks her what she thinks and she said that she felt that she had grown a lot this year. She tells Dr. Drew that Simon is gone. Dr. Drew asks her about the fight with the producer and she tells him that “I don’t feel like people who are my elders and that I work with should antagonize me.” Dr. Drew asks her how she and the producers are doing now and she says everything is great. Dr. Drew then asks Farrah about reenacting traumatic events from the past and she tells him that she is working on changing her behavior. Dr. Drew tells her that “He has seen her growth.” She tells him that “she is not growing as fast as she could and part of that is because she feels people get in her way.” Dr. Drew tells Farrah that they are not sure that she will be back if there is another season of Teen Mom due to her altercation with Larry, the producer. He then asks her if she would want to come back. Farrah says that “I would want to come back if there was another season.” Dr. Drew then says that he “wants to see Farrah back if there is another season of Teen Mom OG.
Farrah is joined onstage by Debra and they discuss their issues. Debra is excited to see the changes in her daughter. Farrah says “I feel threatened when my mom and I get into an altercation and I don’t want to feel that way when leaving Sophia with my mom.” Dr. Drew forces Farrah to address some issues of abandonment with her mom. Farrah tells Debra that she “felt like Debra didn’t support her when she needed her and didn’t listen to her when she tried to tell her about things that were going on with her grandmother and other people in her family whom her mom left her with. She tells Dr. Drew that she doesn’t feel as though it is worth bringing up because Debra doesn’t listen. Dr. Drew tells Farrah that it is worth bringing up and addressing and Farrah tells her mom that she “needs her to listen and support her.” Dr. Drew asks Debra how it feels to hear her daughter so hurt and Debra says “It makes me feel broken.” Then she tries to apologize and Dr. Drew stops her telling her “Not to try and fix it. Just own what you did to your daughter.”
Michael joins them next and Dr. Drew asks for his thoughts. He tells Debra that he “doesn’t appreciate that Debra brings up taking him to Drs. because it is personal and private.” Dr. Drew delicately addresses Farrah’s exploitation. Michael tells them “I trusted the wrong people.” Dr. Drew asks how they got through it and Michael says that it “took a lot of prayer.” Farrah says that she is glad to hear it. Dr. Drew asks about Sophia’s oppositional behavior and Michael says that he doesn’t notice any of the same behaviors exhibited by Farrah in Sophia. Then he says that “I am Sophia’s strongest male role model.” He then talks about going to Sophia’s elementary school and participating in Father/Student appreciation and telling the students how much they appreciate them
