Tonight’s episode of ‘The Bachelor’ kicks off with Ben Higgins’ remaining women sitting around the Bachelor Mansion waiting for a date card – Chris Harrison arrives and announces that Ben has left the building and he has travelled to Las Vegas and is waiting for them. The women rush upstairs to pack their bags for Vegas, their plane is leaving in an hour.
A few hours later the group of squealing women arrives at their hotel in Vegas. After they get settled in the first date card arrives and they read it aloud. “Jojo – you set my heart on fire.” Jojo screams with excitement, she’s getting the first 1-on-1 date with The Bachelor in Las Vegas.
Later, Ben arrives at the hotel to pick up Jojo for their date. He checks in with the other girls, and then he and Jojo head out on the town. Ben takes Jojo up to the roof where they enjoy champagne and wait for their helicopter to arrive. All of the girls watch out the window with envy as Jojo and Ben make out in front of the helicopter. Olivia is furious that Ben is kissing another girl – she’s scared that Ben is going to fall in love with her while they are gone on their date.
Back at the hotel the next date card arrives. Amanda, Jubilee Caila, Amber, Lauren B, Haley, Emily, Leah, Lauren H, Jennifer, Rahel, and Olivia are going on the group date. Becca’s name was the only one not on the invitation – and she begins celebrating because she realizes that she is getting the next 1-on-1 date. Meanwhile, Olivia is not a happy camper, she was certain Ben was going to invite her on the 1-on-1 date.
Ben and Jojo sit down for a romantic dinner and they chat and get to know each other. Jojo reveals that Ben makes her nervous, and she has had butterflies during their entire day. Ben agrees, he says that he has had a lot of “special moments” with Jojo. Jojo explains that she is skeptical because she has had bad relationships in the past – her last break-up was five months ago, and her ex was cheating on her and made her very insecure.
After dinner Ben takes Jojo up on the roof and surprises her with an amazing fireworks display. Of course, the girls can all see and hear the fireworks from their hotel suite – and once again the jealousy is out of control. Olivia says that she feels like she is being cheated on.
The next day Ben and the girls head to the Terry Fator Theater – Terry meets with the girls and shares with them his special talent, he’s a ventriloquist. Then, he announces that the girls are going to put on a talent show for Ben Higgins and show off their special talents to The Bachelor. The girls begin racing around and looking for props for their talent show. The twins Haley and Emily are going to do a river dance, and Jubilee turns out to be a phenomenal cello player. Meanwhile, Olivia refuses to tell anyone what her secret talent is – she wants it to be a surprise for Ben.
It’s almost time for the talent show to start – then the girls get a curve thrown at them and it’s revealed that their talent show is not just for Ben, it’s a sold out show and there are 1200 strangers coming to watch them on the Terry Fator stage. The girls begin panicking – they had no idea that any one else would be watching the show besides Ben, they run back stage to start getting dressed.
The show starts and the girls take turns climbing up on stage – juggling, dancing, hula-hooping, even dressing in chicken costumes. Then, it’s Olivia’s turn and all eyes are on her. She spent all day bragging about her “special talent.” Olivia is wheeled out on stage in a big fake cake – jazz music begins playing and she awkwardly climbs out and begins kicking her legs in the air, the audience is clearly uncomfortable and the other girl are all laughing at her.
It’s truly the most awkward performance we have seen in a long time. Even Ben Higgins (who is nauseatingly polite) laughs hysterically at Olivia. Probably the worst part of her performance, is that you could tell that it wasn’t supposed to be a joke – she was totally serious about it in the beginning.
After the talent show Olivia rushes to the bathroom and begins sobbing – she announces that she is having a panic attack and starts stripping out of her obnoxious red feathered outfit. One of the girls rushes to her side and babies her and splashed water on her neck during her “panic attack.”
After the talent show, Ben and the girls have a cocktail party. Caila finally gets some alone time with Ben and she comes out of her shell and they share their first kiss. Meanwhile Olivia is still having a meltdown – she pouts with the other girls, and is convinced that she is going home. Meanwhile, Ben sneaks off in to the theater with Lauren H. for another makeout session.
Olivia corners Ben and asks him to take a walk with her – they sit down and Olivia tries to explain her awkward performance at the talent show. She confesses that she isn’t “good at being sexy” and she felt really embarrassed when she was up on stage. Ben reassures Olivia that she shouldn’t be embarrassed – but he definitely isn’t showing her as much affection as he used to. One of the twins arrives and interrupts their alone time, Ben skips off with her and Olivia sits there dumbfounded. She can tell that she is losing Ben…FAST.
Ben spends some time with Lauren B. and then is getting some alone time with Emily – but Olivia steals him away again. She makes it even more awkward then before, and begs Ben to “start over” with him. Then she starts doing a weird dance. Ben awkwardly tells her that everything is fine. At the end of the date, The Bachelor gives the date rose to Lauren B.
The next day, it is time for Becca’s 1-on-1 date with The Bachelor. A box arrives at the hotel room addressed to her – it’s a wedding dress. Becca gets decked out in the wedding gown and then a car arrives for her she is drove to a Las Vegas wedding chapel – Ben is waiting for her in a tuxedo and he pretends to propose to her. Becca is panicking – then Ben reveals that they aren’t getting married, another couple is. But, Ben and Becca are going to officiate their ceremony.
The happy couple arrives and Ben and Becca greet them at the altar. They read the vows for the couple (Leah and Travis). The wedding ceremony seems to go off without a hitch, and Ben and Becca have officially married the newlyweds. Another couple arrives, and Ben and Becca officiate their ceremony as well.
After they are done marrying other couples, Becca and Ben spend a romantic evening together. Ben has a lot of questions after he saw Becca on Chris Soules’ season of The Bachelor. Becca reassures Ben that this time around she is much more serious – and she is willing to take the risk of getting hurt with Ben. Ben is thrilled, he wants Becca to open up more and “let herself feel.” Becca and Ben share a kiss, and then he gives her the date rose.
Chris Harrison arrives at the hotel – he has an announcement to make. The girls are shocked when he reveals that Ben wants to have another date before the rose ceremony. He wants to go on a 2-on-1 date with the twin sisters Emily and Haley. They’re actually both from Las Vegas – so they are basically having an early hometown date
Emily and Haley get dressed and Ben picks them up. The twins take The Bachelor to their mom’s house and give him a tour of their bedrooms. Ironically, they didn’t have any time to clean their rooms. Haley takes Ben in to her room and is mortified when there are pictures of her and her ex-boyfriend all over. Ben obviously thinks it is a bit strange too – but she insists that they aren’t together anymore.
After getting some alone time with both of the girls, Ben sits down with their mother to discuss his relationships with them. Emily and Haley’s mom puts Ben at ease and helps him understand the dynamics of her daughter’s relationship. Afterwards, Ben sits down with Emily and Haley and announces that he is going to eliminate Haley now – and take Emily back to the hotel with him to stay on the show.
It’s time for the next rose ceremony – the girls race around at the cocktail party to try and get alone time with Ben before he hands out roses. Olivia steals Ben and again apologizes for how awkward she was all week. Olivia tells The Bachelor that she is already falling in love with him. Afterwards, Olivia tells Jojo all about their talk and makes it sounds like she and Ben are in love. Jojo gets a little upset – she is worried that her relationship isn’t moving as fast as the other girls’ relationship with Ben are.
Now, it’s time for Ben to start passing out the roses. Becca, Jojo, and Lauren already have roses, so they are safe tonight. Ben passes out roses to: Amanda, Lauren H, Jubilee, Emily, Caila, Jennifer, Leah, and Olivia. Rachel and Amber are officially eliminated.
THE END!
