Tonight on NBC The Biggest Loser returns with an all new season 17 finale which features over weight contestants competing to lose weight to win money, on Monday, February 22 called “Live Finale,” and we have your weekly recap below! On tonight’s episode, the winner of the $250,000 prize is crowned in the Season 17 finale, and the eliminated players return to weigh in for the $100,000 at-home prize.
On the last episode, with only two weeks left on the ranch, Bob welcomed the contestants at a challenge that tempted the winner with a prize that changed the course of the entire competition. Not only did they win a one-pound advantage for themselves, they’ll gain the ultimate power in the game with the ability to give a one-pound disadvantage to one of their remaining opponents. On tonight’s episode as per the NBC synopsis, “in this must-see live finale, the 16 contestants from this season return for a special reunion and a chance to weigh in one last time and show America how much weight they’ve lost since beginning their weight-loss journeys. Those who have been eliminated will compete for the $100,000 “at home” prize. Then it’s the moment viewers have been waiting for, when one of the three finalists will be named this season’s “Biggest Loser” and win the coveted grand prize of $250,000.”

#BiggestLoser live finale starts now. Bob greets the screaming crowd and says there are three finalists. Bob says they will have a live temptation. They have Roberto, Stephen and the third finalist is to be revealed. It will either be Jacky or Colby in the third slot.
It goes to a recorded show of a weigh in at the ranch. Colby has to lose seven pounds or more to make it to the finals. He was at 238 and weighed in at 229. He lost nine pounds and that makes him the third finalist. Colby is thrilled.
Back to live, Bob says it’s game on. He then talks about the $100k home prize for those eliminated. He says this will be close and says this was the most competitive season yet. We see flashbacks to the past episodes of the season. We see a montage of workouts, temptations and weigh ins.
Bob brings out Jenn and says she trained last year’s winner. Then he brings out Dolvett. Bob talks about splitting the gym in half and says they were super intense. Dolvett says he took this seriously and helps people fight obesity. Jenn talks about her investment in the people she trains.
Bob brings out Richard and Erin. Next is Lauren and Vicki. Bob tells Erin she’s a rockstar in that dress. Erin says she just had to get out of her own way. Bob talks to Richard about him saying he wants to figure out why he wanted to be fat. He says he still hasn’t figure it out.
Lauren points out her son Caleb in the audience and Vicki waves to her husband. Bob talks about how stunning her makeover was for Caleb. Lauren says the scale doesn’t know how well she can run or competing in the cross fit open next week.
We see a look back at Lauren’s journey, then Richard’s. Richard now has his live weigh in. He started at 314 and is down to 269. He lost 45 pounds. That’s 14.33% of his weight lost. Lauren is next. She started at 234. She now weighs 167. She’s lost 67 pounds – that’s 28.63%. Wow.
Lauren is now in the lead for the home prize. Erin and Vicki are next and we see a look at their journeys. Erin started at 238 and she’s at 151.She lost 87 pounds. That’s 36.55% of her body weight. Vicki is next and she started at 23 and now weighs 176. She lost 25.74% of her body weight. Erin is in the lead.
Next up are Toy and Britney and Rob and Sarah. Bob says Rob cleans up really well. He says he auditioned for Sarah. Bob says Sarah is amazing and the crowed cheers. Bob says he didn’t recognize her. Bob talks about Britney being first eliminated and Toy’s struggle.
It’s now time for more weigh ins. We see a look back at Rob, Sarah, Toy and Britney’s Biggest Loser journey. First up is Toy. She started at 316 and is now at 232. She lost 84 pounds which is 26.58%. Erin is still in the lead.
Next is Rob. He started at 326. Now he weighs 210. He lost 116 pounds. He’s at 35.58% and was really close to Erin but doesn’t take the lead. Britney began at 253 and she’s at 220 for a 33 pound loss. She’s the worst so far.
Sarah started at 267. Now she’s at 148. She lost 119 pounds. She’s at 44.57% and takes the lead from Erin. Bob says there are five eliminated players left to take the stage. Next is Whitney, Felicia, Hope, Luis and Jacky.
Whitney is next to weigh in. She began her journey at 253 and she’s now at 197 for 56 pounds lost. Hope is next and she started at 232. She’s now at 192. She lost 40 pounds. Now the last three weigh in to see who won the take home prize.
Felicia weighs in next. She started at 234 and now weighs 178. She lost 56 pounds. That’s 23.93% lost. Luis is next. He began at 308 and is down to 169. He lost 139 pounds. He’s at 45.13% and is now in the lead. Jacky is the last to weigh in and it’s her or Luis.
Jacky started at 304 and now weighs 187. She lost 117 pounds. That means Luis wins it and will get the take home prize of $100k. Bob says this was his first year hosting and says it wasn’t always pretty. He plays some bloopers and high spots. Dolvett says they’ve been dealing with that all season.
Bob brings out the three finalists. We see a look at Roberto’s Biggest Loser journey. Roberto says it was tough after Luis was eliminated. Jenn says she saw a lot of herself in the twins. Next we see Stephen’s journey. Bob says he knew Stephen would be there til the end. Dolvett says he’s so proud of him.
Colby comes out next and we see his Biggest Loser journey. He’s lost a lot but Stephen looks thinnest of the three. Colby says this has changed so many people and talks about getting healthy. Jenn says Colby touched so many lives in his time on the ranch.
The three guys are ready to weigh in when Bob offers one last temptation. He says they can take $50k but they get a three pound disadvantage. The room is silent. Colby says he’s worked as hard as he can and would like to say he lost a bit more but there’s a lot of stuff that went on.
He says he had a good friend that started chemo for cancer today. He says Missy is back home and says the big picture got smaller for him. Roberto says it’s easy. Stephen has a poker face according to Bob. Stephen says he knows what he’s doing and says it’s a big temptation.
Bob says half of the last six finales were decided by three pounds or less. They have 30 seconds to hit a buzzer. Colby hit his buzzer. His wife applauds. Bob says he never took the money all season long and Colby says ya’ll will love this.
He says the other day after the makeover, he asked someone to reach out to him and says he was told The Biggest Loser had saved someone’s life who was thinking of killing himself. Colby is first to weigh. He started at 339. Tonight he’s at 217 plus the three is 220. He lost 119 for the score and he’s at 35.1%
Stephen is next. He started at 309. He’s now at 176. He lost 133 pounds which is 43.04%. Now Roberto is ready to weigh. He began at 348. He’s near tears. He has to lose 150. Roberto weighs in tonight at 188. He lost 160 pounds and he won The Biggest Loser.
