The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that a long-awaited return could finally be in the works. During a recent trip to Australia, Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke) spoke with 15 Minutes of Fame. It was a casual chat on the street, but Lang still offered some intriguing information.
Naturally, the interviewer wanted to know what was up with Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer). The Bold and the Beautiful fans are probably wondering that as well. When Ivy abruptly left for Australia, it was widely reported that this wasn’t the end of the road. Brewer herself has suggested time and time again that she would resume her role eventually.
In this new interview, Lang said she thinks Ivy is being written back in. She hinted that Brewer may be getting a new storyline soon. That sounds promising, but what’s been the holdup? Perhaps The Bold and the Beautiful took a few directions that they didn’t anticipate when they wrote Ivy off.
There hasn’t been a ton of room for Ivy lately. Sometimes B&B can become the Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) show. Depending on who you ask, that may be a good thing or a bad thing. However, we could use another leading lady in that age bracket as a change of pace.
Of course, we’re starting to see a potential opening for Ivy. Wyatt (Darin Brooks) and Steffy’s marriage is sure to be hanging by a thread before long. Once Quinn’s (Rena Sofer) affair with Eric (John McCook) is exposed, things could fall apart for Wyatt and Steffy. She could quickly dump Wyatt and reunite with Liam (Scott Clifton).
Who will comfort poor, heartbroken Wyatt? Could Ivy return to console her ex? Ivy kissed Thomas (Pierson Fode) and declared her love for Liam while she was dating Wyatt, but those offenses aren’t a big deal in the soap world. Besides, Wyatt is no saint. He’s definitely made his fair share of mistakes.
Wyatt pursued Liam’s love interest when something was obviously up with his brother. Instead of making an effort to track Liam down and get to the bottom of it, Wyatt rushed Steffy to the altar. He just had to put a ring on it pronto. It felt like Wyatt was trying to trap Steffy before Liam reappeared.
Plus, we can’t forget that Wyatt watched the security footage of Quinn and Liam’s parking lot confrontation. He neglected to come forward with that info. In other words, Wyatt has no right to judge Ivy for her errors.
Ivy likely did some soul-searching during her time away. Her life was a mess when we last saw her. Ivy was involved in several accidents and she wasn’t in a great frame of mind. Now that she’s mulled over the situation in a more relaxing environment, maybe Ivy has found clarity. She may have discovered that she was just drawn to Liam because he seemed like a safe part of her past.
After facing so much danger and uncertainty, it’s no wonder Ivy was confused about her feelings. Since Wyatt clearly has some pain headed his way, he might be able to bond with Ivy over that. Could Ivy and Wyatt let bygones be bygones? We’ll have to wait and see, but someone will have to step up. There isn’t enough of Steffy to go around!
We’ll give you updates as more news emerges about Ivy’s potential return. It sounds like it could finally be happening since Katherine Kelly Lang is hinting at it. Stay tuned to B&B and don’t forget to check CDL often for the latest Bold and the Beautiful spoilers, updates and news.
