Things are little strained back at the house. Ben was still keeping up his act and pretending to be Adam however Claire was slowly spiraling out on tonight’s new episode of “The Family”.

Claire is now usually the last person to go to bed and that’s because she tries to push off having to say goodnight to Ben as if he’s her son. But unfortunately there was one other reason she liked to stay downstairs and mostly be by herself. It seems Claire’s night caps have moved pass just being a way to destress and have instead become something else. Like a possibly embarrassment for both her political career as well as her family.

Apparently Claire’s problem led to her buying one to many one night and then having to sleep the effects off on a park bench. So really it had been a miracle that Claire hadn’t been arrested that night and that things didn’t come out from then yet someone did manage to get photos of the incident. That someone also having been from Governor Charlie Lang’s party. And so it wasn’t that surprising that Willa was later hit with an ultimatum.

She had been told that her mother’s career would be over if the photos were released so Willa was told that her mother could drop out of the governor’s race now and run again in four time. After the current governor had moved on that is. And that way everyone could win, but no one would be seen backing down.

However, Claire didn’t like that proposal. So she told her daughter to handle it or that she could just cover it. Which as Claire pointed out was Willa’s specialty.

Only there were too many things for poor little Willa to handle. Willa had to somehow find a way to shutdown the pictures that would paint her mother as a drunk and at the same time she was dealing with a tense relationship with that very same mother. And there was this thing with Ben. Ben had been going out at night and that hasn’t go on unnoticed.

Hank for one had seen Ben go out at around two in the morning. So as a way to do something nice for the family, Hank had reported what he had seen to Claire. He said that she could hate all she liked, but that he believed her son deserved better. Such as people noticing when he leaves the house and being concerned for him.

So Hank had kind of pushed Claire to confronting a very troubling issue and that was that she didn’t. Claire didn’t care about Ben and she couldn’t force herself to. Yet, when Claire had tried to tell Ben that her family could find a good place for him and that he would get the help he finally needed, Ben stopped her from pulling the plug on the whole ruse. He told her that he was the only person that could tell her about Adam and the young man he became.

And that convinced Claire to let Ben stay.

And that also help Claire not feel guilty about placing a nanny cam in Ben’s room.

However, Hank hadn’t been the only one to notice Ben go out at night. Detective Nina Meyer had been aware of the situation as well and so she had followed Ben with her partner. And they had seen Ben using the wrong “arm” when he thought no one was looking.

Ben was naturally left-handed while Adam had been right-handed. But Nina didn’t put the pieces together until much later and by then she didn’t have anyone in her corner. Her partner had found out about Doug and had gone to investigate him when he unfortunately into Doug’s pregnant girlfriend. Who knew about Doug’s “problem” with boys and chose knock out an agent rather than turn Doug over.

Now an officer of the law is dead and that became clear when Doug was later moving a body for Jane. So there’s a chance that Nina’s partner is dead and that she has no one in her corner to admit they had seen Ben using the wrong arm. And as for John much less anyone else on the force, they weren’t going to side with Nina. At least not now after Willa mitigated her mother drinking problem by giving Bridey age old texts that link John to an affair with Nina.

So pretty much no one was going to listen Nina if she started to talk about Ben not being Adam all of sudden.

But did anyone know that Hank and Doug knew each other because that sure came as a shock?

THE END!
