Tonight’s episode of The Good Wife kicks off with Alicia Florrick being picked up by a private car – the driver is in uniform and introduces himself as Sgt. McQueen. Alicia’s cell phone goes off, Sgt. McQueen gives her permission to answer it – Eli is on the line, and panicking, apparently the FBI is investigating Peter and an Agent named Deveraux is “out for blood.”

At the law firm Diane, Cary, and David Lee are posing for a photoshoot for an article in ABA Magazine. David Lee is getting annoyed because the photographer is only trying to take photos of the women at the firm. Cary asks Diane what the article is about – he doesn’t understand why they are only taking photos of the female partners. Diane tells him not to worry about it – it’s not that serious, it’s just a angle. Cary heads downstairs to question Alicia about the article, but she is out, instead he stops and asks Lucca out for a lunch date.

Alicia arrives at her super secret destination – Alicia is working as a civilian advisor for the United States Department of Justice. The President has asked for their help on a case, an ISIS member named Tahan has been recruiting members on social media. They have located Tahan, and it is Alicia and the other advisor’s job to find legal justification for the US Army to kill Tahan – and get away with it.

David Lee calls Jason Crouse in to his office for a private meeting, he wants to hire Jason secretly to investigate Diane. David is scared that Diane is trying to make the firm an “all female firm” – he wants to pay Jason to find out what Diane and Alicia are up to and whether or not they are trying to oust the guys. Jason takes the job without any questions.

Eli has hired the quirky lawyer Elsbeth to try and figure out why the FBI is investigating Peter. She meets with Peter and Eli and begins questioning the Governor – Peter insists he has no idea what the FBI wants. Eli scolds Peter and tells him that he needs to be honest with Elsbeth if he wants her help. Meanwhile, Agent Deveraux is getting closer to Peter, Deveraux wants a meeting with his secretary Nora.

Meanwhile, Alicia and the advisors are having a tough time voting on whether or not Tahan should be placed on the “kill list.” It turns out, he was born and raised in CHicago – he just converted to Isis after he moved to Syria two years ago. And, technically he hasn’t killed anyone, he just recruits other people to act out his terrorist plots.

At Peter’s office Nora reports everything Deveraux said to her to Peter and Elsbeth. Peter finally comes clean and tells Elsbeth that the FBI might be interested in Judge Schakowsky and a minor vote rigging incident that came up when Alicia was running for office.

Diane is on to David Lee – she questions Jason and wants to know why he is hiring him. Jason tells Diane it is private. She warns Jason not to feed in to David’s paranoia. Meanwhile on Cary and Lucca’s lunch date he quizzes Lucca and asks her if Alicia and Diane are trying to make the firm ran all by women. Lucca calls Alicia to try and warn her – but Alicia is still at her super secret meeting, she’s arguing that since Tahan is technically an American citizen, they have to put him on trial, he still has rights. The army can’t just swoop in and kill him.

The board decides to reconvene tomorrow since they still haven’t come to a decision. Alicia heads to her office even though it is late at night, Jason is still there. Jason quizzes her about David Lee’s suspicions – Alicia reveals that Diane wanted to start an all women firm about a year ago. Talk turns to Alicia’s drinking habit, Jason takes away her booze and teaches her how to meditate. Meditation turns to office sex.

Elsbeth meets with Eli’s daughter – who also was interviewed by Agent Deveraux. In the middle of interviewing Elis daughter and talking about the purse business that she wants to start – Elsbeth jumps up and announces that she can’t work for Peter any more and runs out of the door. Eli chases after her and demands to know why she is quitting. Elsbeth says that she can’t say – but gives Eli a business card of her ex’s, his name is Michael.

Alicia heads to the board meeting the next day – she is surprised to see that Captain Hicks was dismissed from their panel. Ironically, Hicks was also arguing that Tahan couldn’t be killed and deserved a trial. Alicia demands to know why Hicks is gone. They give her a BS excuse about a possible confidentiality leak.

Eli and Peter meet with Elsbeth’s ex Michael – who is just as bizarre and quirky as she is. Michael is certain that the FBI is not investigating Peter over drug-rigging. Whatever they are investigating Peter for, Elsbeth figured it out, and it is a conflict of interest with one of her clients. But, they need to know who the client is to figure out why they are being investigated. Michael and Eli head down to the court house to get Elsbeth’s client list – but Elsbeth beat them to the punch and got the clients’ name removed from the list.

Meanwhile, those nerdy guys at the call center that tapped Alicia’s phone for the government when her client fled to Iceland – are apparently still listening in on her phone for entertainment. They have a mic on her phone – and have been listening in on her board meetings with the Pentagon. They know all about Tahan, and the entire office has been listening to her live feeds and following the drama in her life like a soap opera. It looks like Alicia is the confidential leak – and she doesn’t even realize it.

Michael and Eli set a trap for Elsbeth and she leads them right to her client that she is trying to protect. Eli knows him, it’s a very rich man named Lloyd Garber – who happened to be a major donor is Peter’s campaign. Not only is the FBI going after Peter, but they are also going after his principle donor.

Alicia heads back to work at the firm – Lucca isn’t happy there, she hates all of the drama and sneaking around that the partners are doing. Jason joked that Alicia was missing out on the “gender war.” Alicia closes her office door after Lucca leaves and wants to know why Jason has ignored her phone calls ever since they had sex. Jason explains that it is complicated – he doesn’t like not knowing where he stands because she is married to Peter. Alicia swears Peter is okay with her sleeping with other men – she guilts Jason in to coming over to her house after work, because he helps distract her from drinking.

Tonight’s episode ends with one of the nerdy tech guys being dragged out of his cubicle by security – apparently he heard something he wasn’t supposed to hear on Alicia’s phone tap.

THE END!
