On this week’s episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey Melissa is making final preparations for the grand opening of her boutique Envy. Meanwhile, Joe is at home with the kids. He says “Back in the 1800’s men went out and hunted while women stayed home and cooked. Now I have my kids at home underfoot Melissa is out working. I don’t like it. I’m a cave man. That’s what I do.”
Joe picks Teresa up and they head off. They talk about a book that she is writing about their family. Joe asks her “Do you think this book will set everything straight?” Teresa says “Yes, but I am nervous about recording.” Joe tells her “These are your words.” Teresa laughs. Joe tells her “Guess what I did?” Teresa says “What?” She asks him “What?” He tells her “I sent in the last of your restitution payments to the government.” Teresa squeals with excitement. She says “I know it was coming soon.” Joe says “We have shelled out a lot of money to the government in the last two and a half months since you have been out.”
Siggy and Jacqueline meet up to have lunch. Jacqueline complains about the perils of parenthood and her son and 13-year-old daughter. They move on to talk about the situation with Teresa. Siggy says “I keep reading all these rumors in magazines that she and her husband are going to be separated soon.”
Jacqueline tells her “Don’t believe everything you read. They are about to go through a hard time, but they are going to make it.” Siggy says “I just met Teresa, but she does know that I am a relationship expert doesn’t she?” Jacqueline laughs. Siggy says “I seriously want to help her.”
Melissa is still out of the house preparing for Envy’s grand opening leaving Joe at home alone with the kids. He is not happy, He asks his daughter “How long is it until your mom comes home?” She tells him “A couple hours.” Joe is not happy.
Teresa heads in to start recording her book. She sits down with the writer and immediately becomes emotional when she starts to record the forward to her book. She dedicates the book to her children and starts to cry while speaking. She asks the writer “Is there something you can take to help you get through it?” She laughs and tells Teresa “I can’t prescribe any medicine so we just have to push through it.”.
Teresa meets with Simon and Schuster to go over some things for her book. She talks to them about some of the pictures that they have selected for her book. She tells them “Going to prison my life got turned around so for me flipping tables is all about a positive message.” They also show her the cover which she loves.
Joe calls Melissa at her store and tells her “You have to come home.” She tells him “I can’t come home you are going to figure it out.” Joe gets really angry. He tells her “I have a problem on one of my million dollar jobs.” The argument continues as chaos reigns around the house and one of the children can be heard screaming in the background. Joe says “I love hanging out with my kids, but taking care of my kids? No way. The queen can have her job back.”
Dolores and her daughter Gabby are talking. Dolores asks her about her choices after college. Gabby says “I don’t know yet. It depends on whether I decide to work with large or small animals. I read somewhere that there is more money to be made working with large animals, but it means leaving New Jersey.” Dolores tells her “I am encouraging your brother to leave.”
Melissa is working on her marketing at home and Joe is not happy. He tells her “You’re taking away from my time and I’m not happy,” Melissa tells him “You should be encouraging me to do this instead of being so negative,” Joe tells her “What about dinner? That’s what a shrewd businesswoman does. She works all day and then she comes home and makes dinner for her family.”
Siggy is trying to keep her children in line. Her daughter Sophie comes out inappropriately dressed to go rock climbing with Teresa and Dolores immediately tells her to go back upstairs and change, She says “At the end of the day it’s all about what kind of mother you are,” When Siggy goes upstairs to check on her kids neither Sophie nor Josh want to be bothered with her. Sophie’s phone is ringing and Siggy snatches it away from her and it drops on to the floor smashing the glass face.
When they get to the rock climbing place everyone is having a great time and Siggy tells Sophie to tell them what she did to her phone. When she tells them how her mother broke it everyone laughs. Siggy then addresses the rumors that have been circulating around about her and her husband. Teresa tells her “It’s not a big deal but thank you so much for telling me.”
Envy’s opening night seems to be a big hit. Siggy calls Jacqueline and tells her about the rock climbing. Jacqueline seems surprised. She says “That’s all I ever wanted.” Everyone shows up for the event including Teresa who takes her daughters instead of her husband. Teresa is not happy to see Katherine and Rosie. She says “They have hurt me so much over the years that I no longer want to deal with them.”
All of the ladies prepare for the fashion show and try on clothes from the store and Melissa gives a wonderful speech before the party continues. Joe comes over and hugs Melissa. He tells her “I know that you want to do a lot and that it takes you away from me, but i am proud of you.”
The day after the party Teresa and her husband Joe are hanging out at home doing yoga. Teresa tells him “You know if you cheated on me there is no forgiving?” Joe nods. Teresa tells him that there is a story out there that she was going to leave him once he went away because there was another woman out there. Joe says “Those stories are always out there so what?”
