The Voice 2016 Recap - Owen Danoff Voted Off, Eliminated: Season 10 Episode 19 "Live Top 11 Eliminations"

Tonight on NBC the Emmy award winning music competition The Voice continues with an all new Tuesday April 26, season 10 episode 19 called, “Top 11 Eliminations,” and we have your weekly recap below. On tonight’s episode an artist is eliminated in a results edition.

On the last episode, the top 11 artists are Adam Wakefield, Paxton Ingram, Mary Sarah, Owen Danoff, Laith Al-Saadi, Shalyah Fearing, Hannah Huston, Daniel Passino, Alisan Porter, Bryan Bautista and Nick Hagelin performed live in front  of coaches Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams for America’s vote. On tonight’s episode as per the NBC synopsis, “nine artists will be revealed as safe by America’s votes. The bottom two artists will then compete for the Instant Save and one will be eliminated.”

#VoiceResults starts with a performance by Thomas Rhett singing T-Shirt. Once he’s done, the top 11 come out for the first set of results. Carson asks Laith about one of his old albums now being number one on iTunes blues after Pharrell said go buy them. He’s thrilled.

Hannah says she learned you can have gifts and loves in different things and this has been fun for her. Now we find out the first two that are safe and moving into The Voice Top 10. From Team Blake, Mary Sarah is safe. From Team Christina, comeback artist Nick Hagelin is also safe and in the Top 10.

Carson asks Adam about song choice and he says he listens to his artists and see what they’re most passionate about. Pharrell says it’s important for the artists to be the best versions of themselves. Christina says her team is amazing and that’s why the great fan response.

Christina says her team this season is the full package. She says they have the voice, charisma and are sweethearts. Blake says if his whole team advances he gets to point at Adam and tells him he sucks. Now time for more results.

The other nine come back out to find out the fate of two more. Adam Wakefield says Blake is a cool dude and he gives him a lot of confidence. The next artist safe is from Team Adam – it’s Laith Al-Saadi moving into the Top 10. Also safe is a Team Christina artist – it’s Alisan Porter.

Team Pharrell performs together doing Lenny Kravitz’s Let Love Rule. The seven come back and Carson asks more questions. He asks Shalyah about schoolwork and she says it’s not easy to balance it but says God makes anything possible.

From Team Pharrell, America saved Hannah Huston. Also safe is Team Blake’s Paxton Ingram.

Team Christina performs the classic James Bond Live and Let Die by Paul McCartney. Carson talks about how the artists and coaches have fun despite the stress. He shows some behind the scenes clips of them goofing around in rehearsals.

The remaining five come out and Carson asks more questions. Bryan says Christina has made him a better artist and person and he hopes he can pass it on someday. Now we’ll find out the last three that are safe and the two singing for the #InstantSave.

From Team Adam, Shalyah Fearing is safe. From Team Blake, Adam Wakefield is safe. The last artist safe tonight thanks to America’s votes is Team Christina’s Bryan Bautista. Team Adam’s Owen Danoff and Team Pharrell’s Daniel Passino will sing live for a shot at the instant save.

Daniel Passino sings first and does Jealous by Nick Jonas and he rocks the heck out of his falsetto. Christina says she loves him and he’s awesome and he showed why he’s still around. Pharrell says that spoke for itself and says he showed incredible range just now.

Owen Danoff now does Cam’s Burning House and struggles. Blake says don’t beat yourself up about being in this position for the second week and says he knows he got frustrated and it’s a lot of pressure. Adam says Owen is always truthful and that’s the most important thing and he hopes he makes it through.

It’s #VoiceSaveDaniel or #VoiceSaveOwen and you can vote now – there’s a five minute window. Pharrell speaks up and says Daniel has a voice and should be saved. He says “Damn Daniel” and says it doesn’t matter what happens because he heard the love.

Now Adam says “Damn Owen” and pulls a Pharrell. The crowd cheers and he says that was stupid. Adam says he knows he coud not win The Voice if he was in it and says Owen has taken down people with bigger voices because he has something legitimate and special.

The window closes and the end result is revealed. Daniel Passino was saved with the #VoiceSave and Owen Danoff from Team Adam is going home – he’s been eliminated.
