The Young and the Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: Billy Wakes With a Vengeance – Steals Phyllis From Jack?

“The Young and The Restless” (Y&R) spoilers hint that Billy Abbot (Jason Thompson) will wake from his coma a new man that will be startlingly different from the old Billy Boy. He will come out of his near-death experience ready to take on Genoa City – and Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) may be on his to-do list.

Of course we saw that Billy’s first word when he woke was Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) name and he opened his eyes for her, but Billy doesn’t know what all went on while he was sleeping. That ghost walk he took around Genoa City was interesting, but doubtful he’ll recall much from it.

The important part was seeing Delia, knowing she’s okay, and her telling him to go live his life. Billy will wake optimistic and ready to turn over a new leaf – but this new Billy may not be all sunshine and rainbows once he finds out what was going on while he slept.

Both Victoria and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) say they want to give Billy a chance and want to treat him better. However, Billy will soon find out that Victoria was ready to give up on him at one point. Phyllis even had a showdown with her about their relationship at the hospital.

And Jack sure was ready to pull the plug awfully early and give up on Billy without giving him a chance to fight his way out. But how will Billy find out all of this? The answer: Phyllis. Over the past few months, Phyllis has been Billy’s sole champion in Genoa City.

Even when he was at his lowest point, Phyllis was there – when he was drinking, gambling, making dumb decisions. In fact, it was kind of strange that she was there all the time. Why was she in her brother-in-law’s GCAC hotel room when he woke from an all-night drunk?

That seems strange and inappropriate. Phyllis has been nurturing Billy and this may be some sort of strange crush that may have resulted from her trauma at the hands of Marco Annicelli (Peter Bergman). You have to admit, when Phyllis is with Jack, she has to see Marco and think about all of that.

Plus, Jack was ready to tell the world that she was essentially molested for weeks by an imposter – just so he could get the upper hand against Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Jack did back down, but only at the last minute and after Phyllis was put through the wringer.

This coma thing with Billy also has to have brought back memories of when Phyllis was in her coma and Jack moved on with Kelly Andrews (Cynthia Watros). It seemed like Jack was ready to move on from Billy too, even though he was upset at the idea of unplugging his brother.

Will Phyllis continue to be far too close to Billy when he comes out of the coma? Will she tell him all of the goings on at the hospital and how she and Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) were fighting to keep him alive while the others were contemplating his death?

Billy with Victoria is what Y&R fans want – but there’s a wrinkle there. Victoria has split with Billy many times and they have some fundamental issues that won’t change. Chief among these is that Victoria is a daddy’s girl – and Victor did Billy dirty once again – while he was dying.

Victor didn’t wait until Billy’s body was cold before stealing his business deal with Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart). Billy may not remember that from his ghost walk, but will find out when he wakes and will be after Victor with a vengeance.

If Victoria takes her dad’s side once again, that could ruin a new start she and Billy could have and make Billy ripe for the plucking by Phyllis. Y&R spoilers tease that Billy will come out of this changed and Phyllis may find Billy even more attractive now – and she was already overly attentive.

What do you think Y&R fans? Could Billy and Phyllis end up together soon – even just for a night? Will Billy be so hurt when he finds out what went on while he was in a coma that he turns to Phyllis for comfort and it goes too far?
