The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that trouble is brewing. Dylan (Steve Burton) is ready to take on Nick (Joshua Morrow) in a court battle. With Michael’s (Christian LeBlanc) help, Dylan plans to sue for visitation. He won’t allow Nick to cut him out of the picture anymore.
Nick will be adamant that visitation isn’t happening. He’ll insist that he’s Christian’s one and only father. Nick has no intention of giving Dylan a chunk of time with his son. After all, Sharon (Sharon Case) has already taken many months away from Nick.
However, The Young and the Restless spoilers state that an unexpected development will leave Christian’s loved ones in shock. There’ll be some sort of emergency concerning Christian, which means Dylan, Sharon and Nick are going to panic. We don’t know for sure what this emergency concerns, but it could result in some significant changes.
Perhaps Christian will have some sort of medical scare. Dylan might be the one who steps up. If not, Sharon is another option. They know this child far better than Nick at this point. Dylan and Sharon may sense that something’s wrong much sooner.
Nick the know-it-all might realize that he could use Dylan and Sharon’s help. He may offer brief visits if they’ll stop being so pushy. Of course, this would be a great opportunity to reveal Christian’s paternity, but The Young and the Restless isn’t heading in that direction.
Y&R’s head writer, Sally Sussman, has suggested that Nick could remain Christian’s dad for years. Since Adam (Justin Hartley) is gone, Sussman doesn’t want to stir all of that up again. In the past, this would’ve been the prime moment for Christian to have an eye disease he inherited from Adam. That just doesn’t line up with Sussman’s new vision for the future.
Based on Sussman’s comments in a TV Insider interview, it appears Adam’s secret is safe for now. That means we may not see any classic scenario about a blood donation that doesn’t match. It sounds like there won’t be any revelations about Christian’s true father anytime soon.
It’s possible that Dylan, Nick and Sharon will get caught up in an explosive feud. Something could happen to Christian in the midst of their bickering. That might help them realize that they’re not putting Christian first. Dylan could decide to back off and stop the drama.
In that case, Dylan would probably sink deeper and deeper into depression. He just isn’t going to be happy without the baby in his life. He loves Christian as if he were his own son, but he may have to let go.
Sharon won’t be able to fill the void of the child they once shared. This could lead to even more marriage issues. The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that Dylan will soon exit the CBS soap, but there’s no word yet on how he’ll depart.
Will Dylan dump Sharon and hit the road? That seems like the most logical route, but anything can happen. We’ll give you updates as other news comes in.
