The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Devon (Bryton James) will do more than offer Mariah (Camryn Grimes) his wife’s job. He’ll also offer her Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) spot in his bed. Yes, Hevon’s survival as a super couple will be threatened by Cassie’s twin.
Devon experienced too many instances of Hilary’s erratic behavior in the workplace. He initially bought GC Buzz in September in response to that website’s slimming of Jack (Peter Bergman) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). Devon hoped that putting Hilary into the lead anchor’s role for the site’s connected TV show would help to channel her creative energies.
The digital audience responded tepidly to GC Buzz’ initial attempts to provide softer news. So Hilary made the executive decision to restore gossip as gospel. Then she went full throttle as soon as she learned the juicy details surrounding Sharon’s (Sharon Case) baby swap dilemma.
Mariah’s involvement in the Christian conspiracy and subsequent reveal was something Hilary refused to release from her fangs. Mrs. Hamilton rarely treated her assistant with respect, which spurned various verbal battles and even a one-sided shoving match. That round went to Mariah.
Even though her husband fired her, Hilary believed that a night of passion inside their Genoa City Athletic Club suite would prove restorative. It didn’t. Then, when Mrs. Unemployed snuck back to the GC Buzz studios she saw Mariah sitting in her seat cutting a promo.
Workplace proximity sets the stage for a super couple switch. Hevon will morph into Mevon because Dariah sounds too similar to a bowel problem. Of course Hilary’s digestive system will remain unsettled as soon as she catches wind of, or actually catches Devon in a romantic situation with her former gofer.
Actually, Devon seems more suited to Mariah than to the woman he thinks he loves. Yes, Hilary is gorgeous, but her high-maintenance aura is actually childish. Mariah, like Devon, had a rough childhood and together these two kind souls could develop great chemistry.
Lily (Christel Khalil) is already thrilled that her brother finally fired her sister-in-law. Imagine the smile on Mrs. Ashby’s pretty face when she learns that Devon could be on the way to severing ties with his wife as well.
Hilary cheated on her husband Neil (Kristoff St. John), which paved the way to Hevon. Now she’ll come to understand how betrayal feels. Yes, what goes around in daytime drama often goes around as well.
