The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that some major conflict is coming up for Devon (Bryton James) and Hilary (Mishael Morgan). These two tend to have plenty of arguments, but their next one will be a biggie. When Hilary goes too far at GC Buzz, Devon will decide to fire her.
This could be the beginning of the end for Devon and Hilary. Y&R spoilers suggest that Hilary may continue to push Devon’s buttons. She suspects that Mariah (Camryn Grimes) has more info on the Christian drama. Hilary could keep digging and eventually expose the fact that Mariah knew the truth.
Even if Hilary can’t get her story on the air at GC Buzz, she could take it to a competitor. Someone would surely pay top dollar for this juicy scoop. Getting canned probably won’t convince Hilary to back off.
Hilary could come after Mariah as a form of revenge. She might think Mariah is the source of her problems with Devon. The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that Devon may try to shield Mariah from Hilary’s antics. He’s been watching out for Mariah lately and she’s undoubtedly grateful.
If Hilary keeps pushing Devon away with her behavior, he may lean on Mariah. She would likely provide a sympathetic ear. During the ordeal with Sharon (Sharon Case), Mariah proved that she can be a great confidant. She has a good heart and a fighting spirit.
Devon may realize he’s quite attracted to the qualities he sees in Mariah. Could Devon develop feelings for her? It’s possible. Let’s say Devon and Hilary decide to split. Mariah could comfort a heartbroken Devon. He cares about Hilary and he’ll hate to watch their love slip away.
Nevertheless, Devon might find that he just can’t put up with Hilary anymore. She’s pretty selfish on most days. Other than her kind gesture at Thanksgiving, when was the last time Hilary really put someone else before herself?
A relationship that’s all take and no give may not work for Devon. He needs someone who can appreciate him and listen to what he has to say. Mariah might be the perfect fit. She could certainly use a decent love interest! Mariah spent way too long pining for Kevin (Greg Rikaart). He’s clearly not that into her.
Perhaps Kevin and Mariah are better off as friends. It seems like Mariah has finally let Kevin go, which is a step in the right direction. Now Mariah just needs to fill the void with someone else. Will Devon be the new man in her life? That would definitely shake things up on The Young and the Restless.
Of course, Kevin may decide he wants Mariah back after Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) inevitably hurts him. Wouldn’t it be satisfying to watch Mariah reject Kevin for a change? She deserves better! Maybe Mariah will have moved on with Devon by then.
