The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Devon (Bryton James) needs to get rid of his high maintenance spouse. Hilary (Mishael Morgan) has always been needy, petulant and destructive. Now, she’s devolved into nothing more than a pain in the posterior.
Someone who is rich can pick and choose who he wants to be with. And yes, the pronoun he is used correctly because Devon controls this super couple’s money. Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) made a wise choice in leaving the bulk of her fortune to Devon. Hopefully, he’ll be able to extricate himself from the relationship he’s unfortunately entangled in while preserving the maximum amount of capital possible.
Hilary was a nondescript individual who came to Genoa City with one thought on her mind; Seeking revenge against Neil (Kristoff St. John). She followed through on her evil intentions for awhile and then St. Neil actually showed her mercy. Later, he married the woman. Some guys (no, most guys) are blinded by a pretty face. Such is life.
Hilary is clearly gorgeous and occasionally reveals, or pretends, to have a heart as well. But her marriage to Neil was doomed from the jump. Now it appears as though Hevon might eventually fall as well.
What was Devon thinking when he made Hilary the face of GC Buzz? Mr. Hamilton had to know that his wife wouldn’t take orders from him, but would boss people like Mariah (Camryn Grimes) around. Devon’s good nature got the best of him again. His belief in endless redemptive opportunities has to run out at some point, right?
Everyone needs their spouse, or significant other to be honest. Hilary has some type of character flaw in this regard. Whether this relates to her dysfunctional childhood, or not isn’t the question. As an adult, she makes her own decisions and has the power of free will. Hilary wants to do as she desires and thinks that her personal charisma and ability to talk her way around reality will never fail her. Prove her wrong Devon!
All reasonable consideration has already been given and the verdict is in. Devon should put as much daylight as possible between himself and this manipulator as soon as possible. Yes, a massive electronic funds transfer payment will need to be made to cut ties with Hilary. But he’ll be better off and hopefully the first letter in Hevon will sail off to another land.
