The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, December 9, tease that Mariah (Camryn Grimes) will explain the issues she encountered at GC Buzz. Dylan (Steve Burton) and Sharon (Sharon Case) will learn that Hilary (Mishael Morgan) was the one behind the cruel editing. Mariah will be sorry they got duped.
Dylan will offer reassurance before heading out. Sharon will feel guilty about causing so many problems for everyone. Mariah will suggest that Sharon didn’t act maliciously. She thought she was doing what was best.
Meanwhile, Devon (Bryton James) will flirt with Hilary by dropping his towel. They’ll share some passionate moments, but things will shift when Hilary prepares for work. Devon will insist that Hilary doesn’t have a job to go to. He fired her and he’s standing by that decision.
At home, Cane (Daniel Goddard) will introduce his physiotherapist to Lily (Christel Khalil). She’ll be surprised since she thought Jessie was a man. Cane will begin his session and he’ll have very little pain. Jessie will realize that Cane must have taken some painkillers. She’ll indicate that they can be highly addictive.
Cane will decide to throw out his pills, but he’ll gaze at them in the garbage later. At the athletic club, Lily will have a chat with Neil (Kristoff St. John). When Hilary appears, Neil will ask her to host a gala for the foundation. Hilary will complain about losing her job, but she’ll go along with the benefit gig.
Lily will be thrilled that Devon had the guts to give Hilary the boot. She’ll head home to tell Cane the good news. At Sharon’s place, Devon will arrive to ask for Mariah’s help. He’ll give her updates on Hilary’s firing and beg her to take over as host.
Mariah will be glad that Hilary was knocked off her throne, but she won’t want to get tangled up in the gossip biz again. Devon will maintain that they need someone immediately. GC Buzz is supposed to cover Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) new line and they can’t do it if Mariah won’t step up.
Mariah will finally cave in and join Devon at GC Buzz to prep. Hilary will scowl at them from a distance. Elsewhere, Michael (Christian LeBlanc) will ask Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) if Fenmore’s is going through a rough patch. Lauren will hint at it, but she won’t offer many details.
At Chelsea’s studio, she’ll get Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) to promise that she’ll behave during the segment. Chloe won’t be happy about Hilary’s treatment of Sharon, but she’ll assure Chelsea that she won’t let her true feelings show. Lauren will come in and propose an exclusive line for Fenmore’s. Chelsea will hear Lauren out, but she won’t know if it’s the right move.
Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers say Paul (Doug Davidson) will express concern for Dylan. He won’t want his son to keep his emotions bottled up. Dylan will point out that he still has a loving wife and a job he enjoys. He’ll think he’s doing pretty well.
Michael will drop by and praise Dylan for being a great guy. He’ll believe Dylan handled the Christian situation with class. Dylan seems to be OK at the moment, but Y&R spoilers state that trouble is brewing. Stick with the CBS soap to see what’s next for Dylan.
